Design
Since the new OPPO F1s retains the same unibody design that all OPPO users love, the only changes that were made to the phone were the larger storage and RAM capacities.

Design-wise, the F1s seem to be an extension of the F1 and F1 Plus in that they share a similar unibody design with rounded corners. The F1s is often mistaken for an iPhone due to its rounded corners and thin profile.

The power button is on the right side, and the SIM card tray is directly above, It can be opened using the SIM ejector tool to access the tray. On the left side is the volume rocker, while the micro USB 2.0 port, speaker grills, and 3.5mm audio connector (yes, it still has it) can all be found at the device's base.

At the back, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and the brand logo, while at the front, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera, placed just above the 5.5-inch IPS TFT HD Display, and below is the home button that also acts as the fingerprint sensor, together with the function and back capacitive buttons.

Overall, the design and form factor of F1 looks really premium, especially the metal construction with the right position of the buttons for easy access. The home button also acts as the fingerprint scanner, most users will get used to it, especially those that have iPhones.

Display and ColorOS
The OPPO F1s has a 5.5-inch HD display (1280 by 720 pixels) with bright and vivid colors. The brightness of the display looks really nice, and one of the cool features of Color OS is the Eye Protection display that filters out the blue light to create a soothing screen display.

Out of the box, the F1 is running on Color OS v3, which is OPPO’s own custom ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The default theme UI looks a lot like the iPhone, and it does not support the app drawer. Just like any other custom ROM, OPPO has its own theme store where you can download free themes to personalize how your F1s look.

ColorOS is one of the best custom ROMs for Android. It comes with a simple UI, easy-to-read icon labels, customizable themes, and is responsive, and we’re happy to report that it does not have bloatware apps, just the essentials.

OPPO has improved ColorOS 3.0’s user interface, it’s now more vivid, and the icons look really nice. It has an attractive and light overall outlook. Like I mentioned, it does not have an app drawer, but it does support folders to organize your favorite apps.

Performance
The OPPO F1s is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 chipset with a Mali-T860MP2 GPU for graphics, 4GB of RAM to handle multitasking, and up to 64GB of internal storage.

Gamers will love F1s performance on the most popular games today. You can play Pokemon Go, Sky Force Reloaded, Marvel's Future Fight, Voltes V, Modern Combat, and many more games.

Cameras
It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash, as well as a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0, a 1/3.1-inch image sensor size, and an aperture of f/2.0, allowing it to capture truly incredible photos.

The camera app on the F1s is intuitive, with clearly labeled buttons and a handy Beautify 4.0 filter for the best selfies. Filters range from standard bright to soft, mono, and much more.

Connectivity and Battery Life
The F1s include dual SIM card slots, so you may use two different telco providers for your data connection, which is a huge plus. It also has Bluetooth 4.0, OTG functionality (which has to be activated in settings), and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with WiFi hotspot capability.

An internal 3,000 mAh battery powers the F1s. It's impressive how OPPO managed to fit a sizable battery into such a compact design. The device has an average battery life of up to 8 hours before it needs to be charged again, but if you plan to use it for Pokemon Go, you need to bring a powerbank with you at all times.

Pros
Stylish and premium metal unibody design.
Impressive 16-megapixel front-facing camera for high-quality selfies.
Expandable storage (32GB) via microSD card slot.
User-friendly interface with OPPO's ColorOS skin overlay.
Smooth and responsive performance with an octa-core processor and 3GB RAM.
Dual SIM support for managing multiple contacts or networks.
Decent 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with vibrant colors.

Cons
Average 13-megapixel rear camera, especially in low-light conditions.
Outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
Mediocre battery life, requiring midday recharges for heavy users.
Lower display resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) compared to flagship devices.

Overall Experience
The OPPO F1s cater to a specific audience segment that prioritizes stylish design and selfie photography. While it may not offer cutting-edge features or the latest Android version, the F1s delivers a reliable and enjoyable smartphone experience. With its impressive front camera, expandable storage, and solid performance, it is a suitable choice for users seeking a well-rounded device at a more affordable price point.

However, those looking for flagship-level specifications, advanced camera systems, or the latest software updates may need to explore other options available on the market. Nevertheless, the OPPO F1s offers a respectable package that fulfills the needs of selfie enthusiasts and individuals seeking a dependable smartphone experience without breaking the bank.
