The F3 Plus is a huge device, with a 6-inch display. Design-wide it resembles with iPhone 6/6s design. With only 1.78mm narrow bezel, it features unibody metal design following the traditional look and feel of the OPPO F series.
At the front is the 6-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection, at the top od the display are the earphone, sensors, and the Dual Front camera: 16 MP f/2.0 w/ AF + 8 MP wide angle lens.
Below the display is the capacitive buttons with the home button that has the fingerprint scanner. At the bottom are the microUSB port, flanked by speaker and audio jack.
The left side has the power button and above it is the hybrid SIM card tray that can accommodate Nano-SIM cards and the second slot can be used with a microSD card.
Going to the back is the main camera 16MP f/1.7 with Dual-tone LED Flash that protrudes a bit, but since it comes with a good jelly case the camera lens is protected. Below the camera, there are ultra-fine “six-String” antenna lines that are visible also at the bottom.
F3 Plus has a phablet-size display, with 6-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD resolution at 367ppi (pixel per inch). The display has crisp and vibrant it’s not the sharpest around but its more than good enough to enjoy watching your favorite TV show and movies. With auto brightness and eye-protection more that is a great feature to reduce strain on eyes while using it.
On top of the display is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch resistance and it also comes with a FREE screen protector so need to buy one. The speakers are loud enough and have a good sound quality that is good enough to use it when playing games and videos.
Color OS 3.0
Out of the box, F3 Plus is running on Color OS 3.0 which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It comes with heavy customization.
Under the hood, the F3 Plus is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 653 chipset clocked at 1.9GHz, while for graphics it has Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB RAM for multitasking needs.
In terms of daily use as a main smartphone, the F3 Plus perform well with no signs of lag even when running multiple apps in the background. The Color OS 3.0 is also responsive and performance it smooth and lag free. Playing games is also no problem with this device and since it has a big screen you can enjoy more playtime with it.
We tried some heavy graphics game such as Modern Kombat X, League of War, War Robots, NBA Live, Mobile Legends, and the recently released Injustice 2. The only concern is the battery life, playing games it tends to warm a bit and battery drains faster.
Below are the scores F3 Plus got from benchmark applications
- Antutu – 93,240
- Quadrant – 41,520
- NenaMark2 – 60.1fps
- Geekbench – 1,133(single core) / Geekbench – 4,123 (multi-core)
- PC Mark – 5,012
F3 Plus is equipped with non-removable 4000mAh battery, and battery life is average around 9 hours but with heavy use, we only got an aberrance of 6 hours. Good thing it supports OPPO’s VOOC technology (VOOC uses 5 levels of protective layering from the adaptor to the port and interior of the phone. VOOC has replaced the voltage reducing circuit with an MCU, effectively preventing your mobile phone from overheating while charging.)
With VOOC the F3 Plus can charge in 30-minute and will get 75% of the battery using the bundle charger adapter.
The main features of F3 Plus are the cameras, it has 16MP f/1.7 with Dual-tone LED Flash for the main camera and Dual Front camera: 16 MP f/2.0 w/ AF + 8 MP wide angle lens.

The F3 Plus has great point and shoot camera, the shutter speed is fast, it focuses fast and the camera app is easy to use and if you want manual control it’s also one of the options you can choose. The colors on photos are close to accurate and definitely shareable to your friends.
