The event highlighted the two nations' relationship, Chinese business development, and their contributions to the Philippines' economic, livelihood, and technological development.

The China-Philippines Friendship Open Day featured Chinese cultural activities like the Kung Fu dance, which showed basic punches, kicks, jumps, and somersaults, as well as poses and moves to the rhythm of Chinese music, and the zongzi making activity, which allowed guests to prepare and taste the traditional Chinese sticky rice face. The event also displayed milestones of ZTE business programs in the Philippines.
According to Jin Zhichao, CTO of ZTE Philippines, “ZTE Philippines will continue to foster this friendship and promote cooperation between our two countries. Together, we can achieve higher goals, create more opportunities, and pave the way for a better future for China and the Philippines.”

Through its S.T.A.R. Internship Program, ZTE reaffirmed its commitment to the Philippines. The company awarded three University of Sto. Tomas engineering, information systems, and information technology students internships.
