Themed "EcoSynergy," this year’s Fusion put the spotlight on how Epson is driving innovation while staying rooted in shared values.
Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines Corporation, opened the event with a powerful message: “EcoSynergy reflects the idea that real progress happens when innovation moves in step with shared purpose… It’s how Epson brings people, technology, and sustainability together.”
She emphasized Epson’s guiding principle, Engineered for Good, which shapes everything they do—from product design to daily operations. “We focus on reducing energy use, extending product life, and choosing materials that are safer for the environment,” Kusama added.
Celebrating Growth and Milestones
Noelle Gonzalez, Head of Marketing, took the stage to talk about Epson’s consistent growth. Despite challenges in the market, the brand remains the leader in eight key product categories, thanks to its focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. She also noted the company’s ongoing fight against counterfeit inks, which includes stronger protection and education campaigns.

Russer Cabrera, Senior Manager for Product Marketing, shared more exciting updates. He introduced enhanced anti-counterfeit measures like regional holograms, extended warranties under the CoverPlus program, and upgraded solutions for education, retail self-ordering, and textile/signage printing—areas where Epson continues to lead.
Fusion 16 also served as a welcome event for Julia Avila, now leading product marketing for corporate products, and Ash Elshawbaki, overseeing corporate, government, and channel sales. Their appointments highlight Epson’s growing focus on deepening customer relationships.
A Clear Vision for a Greener Future
Sustainability was a key highlight throughout the event. EJ Sulit, Epson’s Sustainability Champion, shared the company’s roadmap to becoming carbon-negative by 2050 and using 100% renewable energy across all global sites—including its massive manufacturing facility in Batangas.
Sulit also spotlighted community efforts like the ICLEAN Project in Monreal, Ticao Island, done in partnership with WWF-Philippines. This initiative promotes proper waste management and supports the production of eco-bricks using collected plastics.
“These eco-bricks each contain about 500 grams of plastic that might otherwise pollute marine environments,” Sulit explained. “Now, the municipality produces over 300 bricks a month—proof that local solutions can create real environmental impact.”
