Digital scams are becoming more common, and staying safe online now takes more than just strong passwords. This is why Maya has reaffirmed its support for the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) through its Scam Safe initiative.

For Maya, cybersecurity is not treated as an add-on feature. It is built into how the platform works every day. This includes investing in strong systems, real-time monitoring, and advanced risk controls to help protect users during payments, savings, and credit transactions. Security is also designed into the app itself, making safe use part of the overall experience rather than something users have to think about separately.
“We’re pleased to support initiatives like Scam Safe, which underscore the importance of partnerships in addressing cybersecurity challenges,” said Toff Rada, Head of Corporate Affairs at Maya. “Partnerships across government, finance, telcos and technology are critical to educating the public, sharing best practices and responding more effectively to evolving scam threats.”
Beyond platform protection, Maya has also been active in teaching users how to stay alert online. Through its ScamPatrol campaign, the company shares clear and timely tips to help users spot red flags, understand common scam methods, and build safer digital habits. The goal is simple: help people think twice before clicking, sharing, or sending money.
By supporting the CICC’s Scam Safe initiative, Maya is reinforcing the idea that online safety is a shared responsibility. Fighting scams takes cooperation between government agencies, private companies, and everyday users. With better awareness and continued collaboration, the path toward a safer and more trusted digital financial space for Filipinos becomes much clearer.
