The Philippine Statistics Authority reports that exports climbed 31.6% in March 2021 over the same month last year, placing the country's year-to-date export growth at 7.6%. This improvement is due to the nationwide immunization program, which has allowed Filipinos to build herd immunity, restore companies, and ultimately rehabilitate the economy.
As a result, 1Export accounted for 0.2 percent of overall Philippine exports. 1Export wants to export products to 60 countries by the end of 2022 to help micro, small and medium firms in the Philippines expand their markets. Its B2B2C initiative, Caravan, is ready to take on the world and enable more Filipinos to resell proudly made in Philippines items to foreign markets.
1Export, founded in 2016, promises to help Philippine MSMEs grow and expand globally through digital tools and platforms. Customers include the US, UK, Australia and Canada.
“It goes without saying that the pandemic has and continues to significantly affect the Philippine economy. But as we move forward and accept the business landscape in the new normal, 1Export is happy to contribute to the country’s recovery by circulating business transactions through exports and helping businesses expand their horizons,” said Mel Nava, founder, and CEO of 1Export.
What sets 1Export apart is that it vets local products for cross-border compliance, allowing local enterprises to comply with the regulations of the markets they seek to enter or develop into. Having a reliable partner to handle export compliance can relieve some of the stress from Filipino business owners. The company also helps clients find markets for their products. Local firms can therefore easily expand internationally, increase brand awareness, reach their target market, and increase sales. 1Export's comprehensive services have cut exporting time and expenses by 80%.
1Export and Caravan allow Filipino companies to extend their business into new markets while also spreading and empowering the Filipino culture globally. To get started, entrepreneurs just need to register as a supplier partner on 1Export's website.
