First Impressions
The realme Pad is only 6.9 millimeters thick and weighs 440 grams, despite its weight It actually feels light and comfortable to hold and use when compared to other tablets of the same size. It’s also thinner, which makes it more portable.

realme Pad

The realme Pad adopts an aluminum alloy body design, its available in two colors: real Grey and real Gold. Both colorways are eye-catching but we love the grey colorway more.

realme Pad

The Realme Pad’s design is highlighted by the majority of the buttons and the camera located on the edges and back. The volume rocker is placed at the top of the right edge of the device, while the power button is located at the top right corner. It has two microphones on either side of the screen, with the microSD card tray in the middle.

The USB Type-C port is located at the bottom of the device, flanked by two speakers, and the headphone jack is placed at the left corner of the device, which is convenient when using the tablet in landspace mode. There is no biometric scanner option, which is disappointing given that this is a standard feature on even budget smartphones.

When it comes to fingerprint resistance, the matte-finished back panel does an excellent job, but the screen does not; it is prone to smudges which is a bit unpleasant when watching movies and so it requires regular wiping.

Out of the box, it runs on realme IU for Pad, which is optimized for entertainment and gaming with a simple layout and a smooth experience. On the initial test, the realme Pad is fast and responsive, with the realme IU it’s easy to navigate the menus and the app’s icon looks sharp.

On our first run of the AnTuTu benchmark, it scores 182084 which is not bad compared to other tablets. We can't wait to put its gaming capabilities to the test with popular titles such as Call of Duty Mobile, Pokémon UNITE, and Asphalt 9, among others, in our comprehensive review.
