OPPO Find N

OPPO unveiled its first foldable flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find N, during its annual INNO DAY event. Its new approach to foldable form factor offers a refreshed user experience.

OPPO Find N

A landscape-oriented inner display on the OPPO Find N allows users to smoothly transition between a 7.1-inch inner display and a 5.49-inch outer display for a full smartphone experience without sacrificing size or usability. With an 8.4:9 aspect ratio, the inner display unfolds seamlessly into landscape mode, eliminating the need to rotate the device. When folded, the 18:9 aspect ratio provides a full smartphone experience with a one-handed display.

The OPPO Find N's Flexion Hinge combines 136 components with precision up to 0.01 mm, ensuring the hinge works as smoothly as human joints. The OPPO water-drop hinge design widens the angle of the fold in the display and provides a buffer when the display folds, resulting in a tiny crease that is up to 80% less noticeable than competing devices, according to TUV. Because the inner display is protected by glass, this design eliminates the gap between the two screens when folded.

The innovative Flexion Hinge's cam and spring mechanism allow it to stand at any angle between 50 and 120 degrees. Aside from the foldable display, FlexForm Mode on the OPPO Find N allows users to adjust the device to a variety of usage scenarios.

The display has a 0.03 mm Flexion UTG (ultra-thin glass) layer instead of the usual 0.6 mm, allowing it to bend easily while still being durable. TUV has validated that the Serene Display can be folded over 200,000 times without a crease.

With smart dynamic refresh rate technology, the inner screen adapts the refresh rate between 1-120 Hz depending on the content being watched. The inside display additionally supports up to 1,000 Hz touch sampling.

The Find N is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Mobile Platform, with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage with a large 4,500mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge.

The OPPO Find N is equipped with a flagship-level triple-camera setup. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX 766 main sensor, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens, as well as selfie cameras on both the inner and outer displays.
