Design
The Boost X25 is much like any other flash drive, except that it's housed in metal instead of plastic. It weighs only 30 grams and has an optional lanyard for easy carrying and storing in a pocket or purse.

During the data transfer process, the LED located at the end of the Boost X25 device will light up. Yes, this device is identical in appearance to other USB flash drives on the market.

Performance
The Boost X25 uses the standard USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A interface. This is great since a majority of laptops have the standard Type-A connector, but it would have been better if there was a version with the type-C port, as it is now standard on today's laptops.

The Boost X25 flash drive is available in sizes of up to 1TB, however, the model we tested has a 500GB capacity, which is still massive. This storage is more than sufficient for a flash drive, but if you need a larger one, the 1TB option is also available.

Dynabook promises sequential read and writes speeds of up to 600 and 500 MB/s, respectively. We tested its speed on an Acer Predator Helios 300 Gaming laptop with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port using CrystalDiskMark 8.0.4 software.

The Boost X25 performs well in tests, achieving sequential read speeds of 400MBps and write speeds of 385MBps, which is close to what Dynabook claimed. With real-time file transfer, a 1GB file can be copied in less than a minute.

It's a great portable storage device that you can carry anywhere and easily slip into your pocket or bag. The downside is it lacks any protection or encryption to safeguard its contents, just make sure not to misplace this flash drive.

The new Dynabook Boost X25 flash drive is available on Dynabook's official store on Lazada and Shopee.
