MFW Caravan

YGG Pilipinas is hitting the road with the Metaverse Filipino Worker (MFW) Caravan, a four-month tour designed to introduce Filipinos to new digital career opportunities.

From April to August 2025, the MFW Caravan will travel to six key cities across the Philippines, offering workshops, career talks, and interactive events to help Filipinos explore alternative ways to earn online—without leaving their hometowns.

Bringing Digital Careers to More Filipinos
The MFW Caravan is part of YGG Pilipinas’ year-long initiative to educate Filipinos about emerging technologies like Web3, AI, and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN). Through hands-on workshops and expert talks hosted by Metaversity, YGG’s educational platform, attendees will learn valuable skills such as resume building, AI optimization, and using decentralized applications (DApps).

Each stop on the tour will also feature job boards, career orientation sessions, and event quests where participants can earn rewards. AI bounties, offered through YGG’s Future of Work program, will give attendees a chance to gain practical experience and get paid for their skills. The event will also introduce participants to the Metaverse Filipino Alliance, a community dedicated to supporting digital workers.

Real Stories of Success
The movement gained traction in January 2025 with the release of Metaverse Filipino Worker, a short film showcasing real-life stories of Filipinos thriving in digital careers. The film, available at MFW.Life, quickly gained over a million views. Some of the film’s featured workers will join the MFW Caravan to share their experiences and inspire others.

“The MFW movement proves that anyone can build a sustainable digital career from home,” said Mench Dizon, Country Head of YGG Pilipinas. “We’ve seen former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) return home and find online income streams, students turn gaming into careers, small businesses expand with Web3, farmers explore digital side jobs, and moms build careers without leaving their families. The future of work isn’t just coming—it’s already here.”

Gaming, Learning, and Earning
A signature part of the YGG Pilipinas experience is Web3 gaming, and the MFW Caravan won’t be any different. Each stop will include game demos, showmatches, and tournaments featuring popular Web3 titles. For many, Web3 gaming serves as an entry point into blockchain and cryptocurrency, making the shift to digital work more engaging and accessible.

Government Support and Industry Growth
With industries rapidly evolving, the demand for digital professionals is skyrocketing. According to the World Economic Forum, there are over 70 million digital jobs globally, a number expected to reach 100 million by 2030. The Web3 market, valued at over $1 billion, is projected to grow sixfold in the next five years. YGG Pilipinas aims to equip Filipinos with the skills needed to take advantage of these opportunities.

“The MFW Caravan reflects an important shift in how Filipinos approach work—focusing on digital skills, borderless opportunities, and economic empowerment,” said Emmy Lou Delfin, Director of the ICT Industry Development Bureau (IIDB) at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). “At DICT, we recognize the need to prepare our workforce for these changes by promoting education and upskilling in emerging fields like Web3 and AI.”

Tour Dates and Locations
The MFW Caravan will kick off on April 5 at Ayala Malls Abreeza in Davao. From there, it will visit:
  • May 4: Ayala Malls Centrio, Cagayan De Oro
  • June 7: Ayala Malls Atria Park District, Iloilo
  • June 28: Ayala Malls Legaspi, Bicol
  • July 19: Palawan (venue TBA)
  • August 2: Manila (final stop)

The event is made possible with the support of Ayala Malls, G!G, Coins.ph, Converge, and Parallel TCG. It is also backed by DICT and the City Education and Development Office in Cagayan De Oro.
Evolution of the Roadshow

The MFW Caravan is a rebrand of the YGG Pilipinas Roadtrip, which started in 2022. Over the years, it has expanded its reach, bringing education about emerging technologies to communities across the country. This new name reflects YGG Pilipinas’ commitment to helping Filipinos discover digital opportunities and thrive in the evolving world of work.
