It expands MediaTek’s lineup with an “All Big Core” CPU setup, featuring four Cortex-X4 cores running up to 3.4GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, built on TSMC’s 4nm process. This makes it strong for multitasking and demanding apps while keeping power use low.
The chip includes a 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU with hardware ray tracing, delivering console-level graphics and lighting effects for immersive gaming. MediaTek’s HyperEngine tech enhances gaming with Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT 2.0) for smooth performance and low power use, plus Frame Rate Converter (MFRC 2.0+) cuts power consumption by up to 40%.
For AI, the Dimensity 9400e supports the NeuroPilot SDK, enabling fast, secure on-device generative AI and large language models like Qwen1.5B and Llama7B. Its 18-bit RAW ISP supports advanced 16-layer video semantic segmentation and AI noise reduction with three microphones, improving video and audio quality.
Connectivity highlights include Bluetooth with up to 5km range (line of sight), sub-6GHz 5G with four-carrier aggregation offering peak speeds of 7Gbps, Wi-Fi 7 with up to 7.3Gbps, MediaTek 5G UltraSave 3.0 for power saving, and dual SIM active mode.
The realme GT 7 is among the first smartphones powered by this chipset, with more expected soon. The Dimensity 9400e aims to deliver flagship-level speed, gaming, AI, and connectivity for modern smartphones.
