Xiaomi has officially launched the new Xiaomi 17T Series in the Philippines, featuring the Xiaomi 17T Pro and Xiaomi 17T. The latest lineup introduces Leica 5X telephoto imaging, the new Leica Live Moment feature, advanced eye-care displays, larger batteries, and upgraded performance.
The Xiaomi 17T Series features a Leica-powered triple-camera system with a 50MP main camera. The Xiaomi 17T Pro uses a 1/1.31-inch sensor, while the Xiaomi 17T is equipped with a 1/1.55-inch sensor. Both models feature Leica UltraPure optical design and a Leica Summilux lens structure for improved image quality and detail.
For the first time in the T Series, both devices come with a Leica 5X telephoto camera capable of capturing 50MP images with OIS. The camera supports 30cm macro photography, 10x optical-grade zoom, and up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom.
A key addition is Leica Live Moment, a new imaging feature that captures movement and emotion before and after the shutter is pressed. The feature works across all rear camera focal lengths and is complemented by Leica Live Portrait, new Leica-exclusive watermarks, and shareable collage options. The Xiaomi 17T Pro also supports Ultra-HD Live Moment recording in 4K along with Freestyle and Portrait Live Cinematography modes.
The series also debuts Xiaomi Vision Care, a display technology designed to improve viewing comfort by automatically adjusting to ambient lighting while reducing blue light, flicker, and motion blur. Xiaomi says the Xiaomi 17T Series is the first to receive TÜV Rheinland's quadruple eye-care certification and its first Intelligent Eye Care certification.
Both devices feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with up to 3500 nits peak brightness. The Xiaomi 17T Pro supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Xiaomi 17T offers up to 120Hz. The Pro model also features ultra-slim 1.29mm bezels on all four sides.
Powering the Xiaomi 17T Pro is a 7000mAh battery, the largest battery ever used on an international Xiaomi Series smartphone. It supports 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. The Xiaomi 17T packs a 6500mAh battery with 67W HyperCharge support.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor built on a 3nm process, while the Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra based on a 4nm architecture. Both devices feature Xiaomi's 3D IceLoop cooling system for improved thermal management.
