Headed by MPIC Chairman, Manny V. Pangilinan is truly confident and excited with MPIC group’s newest foray in digital health care, “Through a collaboration with trusted health experts, mWell will develop an ecosystem to bring integrated digital health care closer to every Filipino, even beyond the pandemic. mWell will empower every Filipino to be in control of their health with just one app.”

In addition to technology partnerships, mWell collaborates with award-winning fitness specialists such as Active8me to provide individualized daily fitness, nutrition, and wellness programs; and theAsianparent to provide smart parenting solutions ranging from prenatal to family health management. Over three thousand health and wellness product SKUs are now accessible for mWell app users at Adobomall's online health shop, which is powered by PayMaya for fast, safe, and hassle-free transactions.

The introduction of mWell heralds the start of this new digital health ecosystem. Currently, in collaboration with CareSpan, Philcare, and Keralty Clinic, a diverse range of doctors and health practitioners have joined the mWell roster, which includes general practitioners and specialty physicians, to provide much-needed access to health professionals during this pandemic. Doctors can simply manage digital appointments, maintain confidential medical information for their patients, and issue e-prescriptions, and with the partnership of Medicard, users can book COVID-19 testing services.

Doctors, clinics, and hospitals from all over the country are welcome to join mWell. Doctors can create a free mWell virtual clinic. No membership or setup expenses. Doctors will be trained quickly and easily to use the mWell suite of services, allowing them to reach more patients nationally. “Through telemedicine, accessible healthcare can be encouraged, and the worry of stepping outside can be reduced,” says Dr. Lovely Garcia. Virtual laboratories can be created and booked through the mWell app.

Starting August, mWell users will be able to buy South Star Drug OTC and Prescription drugs and have them delivered to their homes, or buy PhilCare health insurance products for dengue, accidents, and emergencies. Additionally, mWell will begin a nationwide medical mission, promoting relationships and cooperation with clinics and clinicians nationwide. A patented Aktivo algorithm, developed in conjunction with Aktivolabs, will enable mWell users to monitor, measure, and improve their Wellness Score, improving health and longevity.

For its initial offering, PLDT Home customers may avail of a free consultation with mWell doctors. There are more services waiting to be launched with each new feature adding concrete benefits to the health of every Filipino.
