The vivo Y33s is now in the Philippines, just like its predecessor the Y31, the vivo Y33s lives up to vivo Y-series’ reputation as a feature-packed yet affordable smartphone with a 50-megapixel triple camera for fun photography.

The vivo Y33s is the brand's latest Y-series model. With the tagline "Focus on the Moment," it features a 50-megapixel rear camera with electronic image stabilization (EIS). Here is our unboxing and initial impressions of vivo's latest camera-centric smartphone.

Unboxing
The Y33s come in a standard simple white box, with the vivo branding and the Y33s printed at the front, while the tech specs are printed on the back of the box.

Inside it comes with the usual content that includes the vivo Y33s smartphone, jelly case, wired earphones, documentation, SIM ejector tool, USB-C cable, and an 18w charging adapter making it a complete package.

One standout feature of the protective case is the flap cover that protects the USB port, something you won't find on other brands' free cases.

First impressions
The Y33s has a squarish body design, it's not a slim device at 8.0mm thickness, but it's lightweight weighing only 182g making it easy to hold and use.

The rear of the Y33s has a reflective glossy finish that may be used as a mirror, which is kind of cool. There is a triple camera system that includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. It is housed in a square design that includes an LED flash. The volume control and power button, which also functions as a fingerprint scanner, are located on the right side of the device and are easily accessible whether you are left or right-handed.

The SIM slot is located at the top of the Y33s, leaving the left side of the device clean. The SIM slot allows two nano 4G SIM cards and one microSD card for additional storage, which is an optional feature given the device's 128GB internal storage.

The Y33s boasts a large 6.58-inch Full HD+ in-cell display that delivers bright colors and vivid details. It has a waterdrop notch where the 16-megapixel selfie camera in place. The screen has a 90.6% screen-to-body ratio with slim bezels on the side and at the bottom. Watching Netflix and Youtube videos will be great on this phone, as well as playing games.

The Y33s is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz, and it is combined with the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage, as well as a 5,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging, making it suitable for everyday mobile gamers.
