realme will introduce the realme GT 2 series at MWC Barcelona 2022 on February 28, 2022. The realme GT 2 Series was launched in China early last month as one of the first smartphones to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset.

The realme GT 2 Series, dubbed as the company's most premium flagship lineup to date, is realme's next attempt to disrupt the high-end segment. The realme GT 2 Pro features three "world firsts": a back cover composed of a biopolymer material inspired by paper, a 150° ultra-wide camera, and realme's Innovation Forward Communication.

The realme GT 2 Pro features a minimal, paper-inspired appearance. This "Paper Tech Master Design" by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa transforms the realme GT 2 Pro into the world's first smartphone designed with bio-based materials.

The realme GT 2 Pro's back cover is made of bio-polymer, an eco-friendly alternative to fossil-based products. The SABIC bio-based material has passed the ISCC International Sustainability and Carbon Certification as well as REACH, RoHS, and EPEAT.

The realme GT 2 Pro is the first smartphone to offer a 150° ultra-wide camera. This ultra-wide camera expands the phone's field of view by 278% compared to the main camera's 84° field.

The realme GT 2 Series is a testament to realme's rapid growth because of its constant innovation in technology and design. With this launch among other developments planned for this year, realme is doing its part to bring cutting-edge technology to millions of users worldwide.

“It always feels great to deliver something new and exciting to users worldwide, and the GT 2 Pro has brought the whole thing to the next level.” Said Sky Li, realme CEO.

Recently, realme was hailed the number 1 smartphone vendor in the Philippines for 2021 by Canalys based on its local sell-in data for Q1-Q4. On the global level, as of Q3 2021, realme also became the youngest smartphone brand in the world to reach 100 million cumulative shipments and join the Top 5 smartphone brands worldwide based on Canalys Q4 global sell-in data.
