realme 9 4G Unboxing, First Impressions and Camera Samples
realme's latest midrange smartphone the realme 9 4G features flagship-level photography, a 90Hz AMOLED display, backed by a Snapdragon chipset, and a large battery capacity.
The realme 9 4G is the newest member of the realme 9 series, which also consists of the realme 9i, realme 9 Pro, and realme 9 Pro+. We got the first dibs on this new smartphone and here's our unboxing and initial thoughts.

Unboxing
The realme 9 4G will be available in stargaze white, meteor Black, and sunburst gold colors the latter of which is the color of our review unit. It comes in realme signature packaging with the large number 9 and the branding on the front of the box and the usual tech specs at the back.

First Impressions
The realme 9 4G has a slim profile with only 7.99mm thickness, and it only weighs 178g, making light and comfortable to hold. It features a dynamic 3D ripple texture design with Plasma Atom-coating and UV-Nano imprinting processes giving the back a very stunning appearance.

First Impressions
The realme 9 4G has a slim profile with only 7.99mm thickness, and it only weighs 178g, making light and comfortable to hold. It features a dynamic 3D ripple texture design with Plasma Atom-coating and UV-Nano imprinting processes giving the back a very stunning appearance.
The Sunburst Gold colors look stunning and the glossy surface feels premium on hand. It's also available in Stargaze White and Meteor Black colorways.
The realme 9 4G features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED punch-hole display with 2400 × 1080 resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio 2.5D curved glass screen, and 1000 nits peak brightness. It also boasts a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 360Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protects the display.
The punch-hole houses a 16-megapixel selfie camera and there is also an in-display fingerprint scanner that can also read and record heart rate which is a cool feature.
At the back, it sports a triple camera system with 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL main sensor, complemented by an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide camera and a 2MP 4cm macro camera alongside an LED flashlight.

The power button is present on the right side, while the volume rocker is on the left side along with the triple-slot tray with a dedicated dual nano-SIM and microSD slot.
At the bottom are the usual 3.5 mm audio jack, primary microphone, USB Type-C port, and the loudspeaker grill. There is a secondary microphone on the top and the mono speakers have decent sound quality.
The realme 9 4G uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset clocked up to 2.4GHz. Snapdragon 680 4G Mobile Platform is a 6nm process backed by Qualcomm Adreno 610 GPU and Qualcomm Kryo 265 CPU, both designed to deliver superior performance while conserving power it also supports fast charging. It also has 128GB UFS 2.2 ROM and accepts microSD card with a capacity of up to 256GB. In addition, the 4GB of RAM supports dynamic RAM expansion of up to 5GB of virtual RAM.
Its massive 5000mAh battery with 33W wired charging is more than sufficient for a full day of use, and it charges quickly, so there is no need to be worried about going out of juice. It ships with the most latest realme UI 3.0 and Android 12 out of the box, so it has a familiar, user-friendly interface.
