After spending several days with the TECNO MEGAPAD 2, I found myself using it more often than I expected. Whether I was writing articles, replying to emails, browsing the web, watching YouTube, or editing short videos, it gradually became the device I used whenever I didn't need the full power of my laptop.
The MEGAPAD 2 brings together a large 11-inch display, 4G LTE connectivity, a long-lasting battery, useful AI features, and an included Bluetooth keyboard in a package designed for day-to-day use. It isn't without a few compromises, but after using it as my primary tablet for several days, here's what stood out.

Durability
The MEGAPAD 2 isn't designed as a rugged tablet, but it feels solid enough to handle the demands of regular use. Throughout my time with it, the metal unibody construction remained rigid, and the tablet never gave the impression that it was fragile or poorly assembled.
The matte finish also does a good job of hiding fingerprints and minor smudges, helping the tablet maintain a clean appearance even after a full day of use.
That said, it's still an 11-inch tablet with a large glass display, so a little extra protection goes a long way. TECNO doesn't advertise an official IP rating or reinforced display protection, so I recommend using a tempered glass protector if you plan to carry it around regularly. The included keyboard case also adds an extra layer of protection when the tablet is stored in a bag.
After using it daily and carrying it with me, the MEGAPAD 2 proved to be a dependable companion. With reasonable care, I don't see it having any trouble standing up to regular day-to-day use.

Whether I was reading articles, editing documents, browsing the web, or watching videos, the display remained sharp and comfortable to look at.
The 90Hz refresh rate also makes a noticeable difference. Scrolling through websites, social media, and the interface feels smoother than a traditional 60Hz display, making navigation feel more responsive.

Performance and Features
The MEGAPAD 2 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, a processor that has already established itself as a dependable choice for mid-range smartphones and tablets. Throughout my testing, it handled web browsing, document editing, emails, social media, video streaming, and managing my WordPress dashboard without any noticeable issues.
My review unit also benefited from TECNO's Memory Fusion feature, expanding the available memory to 16GB. While virtual RAM isn't a replacement for physical memory, it helps keep background apps active longer, making it easier to switch between tasks.
I also used the tablet for editing short videos in CapCut. Basic 1080p projects with text, transitions, and background music ran smoothly, while more complex edits naturally took longer to preview and export.
Gaming performance is about what I'd expect from the Helio G99. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty: Mobile, and PUBG Mobile ran well using medium to high graphics settings. More demanding games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail are playable, although lowering the graphics settings provides a smoother experience. Even during longer gaming sessions, the tablet became warm but never uncomfortably hot.
The tablet is available with up to 256GB of storage and supports microSD cards up to 2TB for users who need additional space. The quad stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos also produce clear dialogue, good stereo separation, and enough volume for watching videos, listening to music, or joining online meetings.

The only feature I found missing was 5G connectivity. While 4G LTE was more than capable for my everyday use, some buyers may prefer the added future-proofing that 5G offers.

The MEGAPAD 2 has an 8MP front camera and 8MP rear camera, with the front camera positioned along the landscape edge of the display. This makes more sense for a tablet since the camera stays centered when the device is placed horizontally on its keyboard stand.
The rear camera is more practical for quick photos, scanning documents, and capturing reference material rather than serious photography. It also has an LED flash and supports 1080p video recording at 30fps, while TECNO's AI camera features can make basic adjustments to brightness and contrast for casual shots.
The cameras aren't a major reason to buy the MEGAPAD 2, but they cover the needs I would expect from a tablet in this price range, particularly for video calls, documents, and occasional photos.
Battery and Charging
This tablet is packed with an 8,200mAh battery, and throughout my testing, it consistently lasted through a full day of mixed use.
Video streaming was easy on the battery, while gaming naturally consumed more power. Even after extended gaming sessions, there was still enough charge left for lighter tasks afterward. Overnight battery drain was minimal, thanks in part to TECNO's AI Smart Power Saving feature.

After spending several days with the TECNO MEGAPAD 2, it became a tablet I reached for more often than I expected. Its large display, dependable performance, built-in 4G LTE connectivity, and included Bluetooth keyboard made it easy to switch between work, entertainment, and light content creation without feeling limited.There are a few compromises, including the lack of 5G, relatively slow 18W charging, and the absence of a built-in trackpad on the keyboard. Even so, none of these significantly affected my overall experience.
