realme narzo 30A Unboxing and First Impressions

realme narzo 30A

realme officially launched its budget smartphone in the Narzo series, which includes the realme narzo 30A it's budget smartphone which features better processing power, display, and longer battery life.

The realme narzo 30A is the successor to the narzo 20A that was released last year, now it's time to unbox and share our first impression of this new budget-friendly gaming smartphone.

What's inside the box?
Unlike the signature yellow box of realme, the narzo 30A comes in a blue box which is kind of refreshing, it will be available in two colors the Lazer Black and the Lazer Blue which is our review unit. Upfront is the narzo branding, and at the back are the usual tech specs of the narzo 30A.

Contents of the box include the narzo 30A phone, USB Type-C Cable, 9V2A charger adapter, SIM card pin, and some paper materials. Sadly there is no earphones nor a protective case included, which could be part of the reason to keep the price of narzo 30A affordable.

Looking at the Design
The narzo 30A sports a diagonal stripes design at the back, just below the fingerprint sensor and the narzo branding, the new visual design represents showing off your freestyle. There are also dual-camera systems encased together with the LED light.

Upfront it features a 6.5-inch (16.5cm) HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels), 20:9 ratio mini-drop display with 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, the selfie camera is placed at the center top notch. It comes with a pre-installed screen protector for that extra layer of protection against scratches. It also supports facial recognition, which can be easily unlocked with a single glance, convenient to unlock, and keep your data safe for your privacy at the same time.

To the right side are the power button and the volume rocker, while the SIM slot is located on the left side it's a triple tray system that supports two nano-SIM and one microSD card (up to 256GB) for additional storage.

At the bottom are the usual ports, with the 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and loudspeaker all in a row.

Under the Hood
Powering the narzo 30A is a MediaTek Helio G85 gaming processor with up to 2.0GHz clock speed, it comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android 10 with realme UI (realme UI 2.0 update coming soon) out of the box, and it packs a massive 6000mAh with 18W quick charge, it also supports reverse charging via the Type-C port. realme claims it to have a 46-day standby battery life.

First Impressions
Overall the realme narzo 30A is a nice-looking smartphone with its two-tone design that looks refreshing, it has a plastic body with a solid build and it feels nice to hold and comfortable to use. In terms of camera, it only sports a dual rear camera with 1080p video recording which is a downgrade compared to the narzo 20A which comes with a triple rear camera and is capable of 4K video recording. This budget smartphone is very capable of handling multitasking, and apps run smoothly. In terms of games, it can handle Call of Duty with smooth gameplay using medium settings. With its huge battery capacity, it's a great device to use for long online learning. More game tests on this device soon on our full review, so stay tuned.
