realme is bringing the realme 16T 5G to the Philippines, with the phone’s 8000mAh Titan Battery and claimed 7-year battery health among its main highlights.
The company has yet to announce the local price and launch date, but the phone’s full specifications are already available. Here’s what to expect from the realme 16T.
8000mAh Battery With 45W Charging
The realme 16T packs an 8000mAh battery, with a rated capacity of 7780mAh. It supports 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, as well as bypass charging and reverse charging. realme claims up to three days of battery life based on its laboratory testing. Its published figures include up to 34 hours of WhatsApp use, 32.8 hours of Instagram, 25 hours of YouTube, and 14.2 hours of gaming.
The company also claims the battery can retain more than 80% of its capacity after seven years under its stated testing conditions. This is based on laboratory data and theoretical calculations, so actual battery health will vary depending on usage and charging habits.
6.8-inch 144Hz Display
The phone has a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 1570 × 720 resolution and refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Brightness can reach up to 1200 nits HBM, while Panda-1681 glass is used for protection. The 144Hz refresh rate should make scrolling and supported games smoother. The HD+ resolution, however, is a specification worth noting for buyers who prefer sharper displays.
Dimensity 6300 and Expandable Storage
Powering the realme 16T is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, paired with an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It uses LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, with microSD card support for additional storage. realme also includes a 5300mm² AirFlow VC cooling system and GT Boost Engine. The company claims stable 60FPS performance in mainstream games.
50MP Main Camera
For photography, the realme 16T has a 50MP f/1.8 autofocus main camera paired with a 2MP monochrome camera. A 16MP front camera handles selfies. The rear camera supports video recording of up to 1080p at 60fps, while the front camera can record at 1080p 30fps. Slow motion, time-lapse, cinematic video, and dual-view video are also supported. The phone also features a Selfie Mirror, allowing users to use the rear camera for selfies while checking the framing through the built-in mirror.
Durability and Design
The realme 16T measures 166.4 × 78.2 × 8.8mm and weighs 224 grams. It will be available in Aurora Green, Starlight Red, and Starlight Black. The phone also carries MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
