PLDT, the Philippines' leading fully integrated telco, recently inaugurated a newly constructed headquarters in Pasay City to enhance operations and service delivery, especially in the south of Metro Manila.

The new single-story building, constructed on the site of the old PLDT Pasay office, houses the Pasay and Makati Customer Experience Service division, SME Group, Home Sales, Account Admin, Facilities Management, and a canteen, and can accommodate about 230 PLDT and Smart employees. The rebuilt 3,500-square-meter property is finished with a multi-level steel parking structure.
In support of the PLDT Group's commitment to reducing its carbon emissions and implementing sustainable operations and facilities, the new building utilizes energy- and water-efficient fixtures such as inverter air conditioning and LED lighting for its interiors, as well as open-air windows for natural ventilation. The facility's facade also incorporated durable and low-maintenance sustainable building materials.
The Pasay makeover follows PLDT's recent declaration of intentions to remodel and transform its Makati headquarters into a modern, ecologically friendly, and open campus-style headquarters by 2028, the company's centenary year.
PLDT continues to invest in its facilities, network, and ICT infrastructure to fuel the nation's digital economy and better serve its customers. These new facilities include the development of a hyperscale facility, the company's eleventh VITRO data center, and significant investments in new international underwater cables, such as the recently opened Jupiter Cable system and the construction of the APRICOT and ADC.
In the first half of the year, PLDT added 401,000 new fiber customers to its Home sector for a total of 2.8 million fiber subscribers, maintaining its industry-leading position in providing more houses with fiber access to accommodate hybrid work and school environments.
The PLDT Group is also increasing the build-out of its fiber ports to raise capacity by 1.7 million this year, which is already at 950,000 as of the end of June, augmenting its huge fiber network which is currently at 837,000 kilometers, the biggest among local telecommunications companies.
