POCO M5 and POCO M5s Launched: Specs, Features, Price in PH

POCO, a popular smartphone brand among young techies, introduced two new smartphones for entertainment-hungry users, the POCO M5 and POCO M5s all-in fun devices.

The POCO M5 is a powerhouse for people who like to play games every day, while the POCO M5s is an all-around entertainment device that meets all of your needs for the camera, audio, video, and battery.

The POCO M5 boasts a 6.58-inch Full HD+ DotDrop display that offers accurate colors and clear images. It features a 240Hz touch sampling rate that speeds up the entire experience and aids in fast-paced games with quick touch response. It also has a Sunlight display that lets you play games in the park or by the pool.

The POCO M5's 90Hz DynamicSwitch display can switch refresh rate. When playing games, it adapts to a rapid refresh rate for high-frame titles, although it can slow down for video playback. This saves power and extends playability and battery life.

POCO M5 is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chipset and offers a great gaming experience. Built on a flagship-level 6nm manufacturing process, the powerful chipset comprises of two high-performance Cortex-A76 clocking up to 2.2GHz, and an Arm Mali G57 GPU for advanced 3D graphics. It's equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, so you play your favorite game on the go while handling all your everyday tasks too.

The Game Turbo 5.0 manages and optimizes the CPU, GPU, and memory to allow smooth gameplay in heavy-loading games. The system can determine if you're in the middle of a game and pop up a sub-window to avoid disabling you.

Beyond gameplay, POCO M5 sports a triple-back camera system with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor for real-time depth recognition, and a 2-megapixel macro camera for close-ups.

POCO M5s features a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED DotDisplay great for watching sports, videos, or playing music. Its dual speakers provide a fully immersive audio-visual experience, amplifying the fun of playing a new music video or watching a movie. The POCO M5s have smooth graphics and good color performance. DC Dimming and 360° ambient light sensors adjust screen brightness so you can watch a live broadcast without eye strain.

POCO M5s is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset for audio-visual pleasure. Graphics performance and efficiency provide immersive AR, camera shooting, and seamless streaming. Its 5,000mAh battery provides up to 12 hours of uninterrupted use, while in standby mode, it could last for a month.

POCO M5s' quad rear camera system can record 4K videos at 30 fps. It is equipped with a 64-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor. includes two 2-megapixel cameras for depth detection. 13-megapixel front camera for great selfies and video chats with family and friends.

Pricing and Availability
POCO M5 will come in three colors: Black, Green, and Yellow in the Philippines, it will be available in two variants 4GB+64GB will retail for ₱9,499 while 6GB+128GB retail price is ₱10,499.

POCO M5 will be available on Lazada for an early bird price of ₱7,399 and ₱8,799 respectively from September 7, 2022 via Lazada.

On the other hand, the POCO M5s will be available in grey, white, and blue. It will also be offered in two variants. The 4GB+64GB version will retail at ₱9,999, while the 6GB+128GB version is priced ₱10,899. It will also be available on Lazada and Shopee on September 7 for an early bird price of ₱8,599 and ₱9,999, respectively.
