After two years of online-only competition, the Predator League is returned to offline play, and it's more exciting than ever. At the Predator League 2022 Philippine Finals, the best Valorant teams in the Philippines had the opportunity to compete head-to-head.
South Built Esports
Last September 17, 2022, Oasis Gaming, Team Secret, South Built Esports, and Rex Regum Qeon performed their all out at the SM Mall of Asia Central Atrium in front of an excited crowd.
Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) defeated Oasis Gaming with a score of 13-5 on Haven and Breeze. The competition was fierce from the outset. South Built Esports and Team Secret, two teams with a long and storied history, engaged in a 3-map series, with Team Secret ultimately bowing out of the competition and South Built Esports advancing to the Grand Finals.
Team Secret
The Grand Finals gave the spectators a very intriguing plot: Would the experience of FPS veterans South Built Esports prove that experience is truly king, or would the youthful squad of Rex Regum Qeon usher at the end of the old guard? With a resounding 13-7 victory in the opening match, RRQ demonstrated their mastery of the Breeze map.
The second map, Fracture, went into overtime, but RRQ's relentless intensity ultimately won out and won them the championship.
Oasis Gaming
In addition to the non-stop Valorant action on the main stage, the audience was joined by some of its internet heroes and heroes from around the world. Other popular YouTube channels and influencers in the festivities at the Mall of Asia by holding contests and doing meet-and-greets with their audiences.
The day ended with Rex Regum Qeon taking home the Predator League Shield and ₱200,000 from the Central Atrium of the SM Mall of Asia. For their heroic efforts, South Built Esports was rewarded with ₱100,000.
