Maya, the Philippines' only all-in-one money platform, is leveraging its digital banking advantage to accelerate its growth in consumer finance and encourage more Filipinos to adopt new financial services such as credit and investments.

To promote this initiative, Maya launched a new campaign in partnership with the multitalented actress, a new Maya Brand Ambassador, and Chief Advocacy Officer Hope Elizabeth "Liza" Soberano. The "My Money. My Bank. My Way" campaign aims to bring digital banking to the masses and enable Filipinos to take charge of their finances with innovations that make money management simpler, more personalized, and more rewarding.

The campaign highlights Maya's best-in-class consumer savings account, which can be opened easily with a single valid ID, has a high-interest rate of up to 10% p.a. that customers can get by spending more in their Maya wallet, credits customers' accounts daily with interest, and lets them set their own personal goals.

Maya is also the first finance app to provide users with their own @username, making sending money as simple as tagging friends on TikTok or Instagram. Consumers love the sleek black Maya card, which is accepted by more than 80 million merchants worldwide.

Now, Maya has more than 1.5 million bank customers. According to data.ai, it is the top digital banking app in the Philippines, with the most app downloads and monthly active users among the country's six licensed digital banks.

It is also the highest-rated finance app on the App Store and Google Play, outperforming big e-wallet and bank brands with a 99.94% uptime rate, simple account opening, and real-time transaction history.

Simplicity in a world of complexity
To encourage more Filipinos to save and use digital transactions, Maya announced an update to its mission-led savings promo. Starting March 7, 2023, customers can boost their Maya savings with up to 10% p.a. daily interest rate the more they do wallet transactions.

According to the BSP 2021 Financial Inclusion Survey, 80% of adult Filipinos have smartphones. 54% have official financial accounts, with 36% using e-wallets. Filipino adults barely save 37%. With better digital banking and payments, Maya believes this number will rise.

Further propelling Maya's push is its game-changing "My Money, My Bank, My Way" Soberano campaign. Soberano co-created Maya's new marketing strategy as a brand ambassador, breaking the celebrity endorsement mold and redefining financial services marketing.

As Chief Advocacy Officer, Soberano will spearhead financial inclusion projects with Maya, commencing with a joint action for Save The Children, the world's leading independent children's charity, of which Liza has been the ambassador since 2021. She will also promote Maya's product strategy and culture.
