POCO F5 and POCO F5 Pro launched, Specs, and Price in the Philippines

POCO unveils two new flagship devices. The POCO F5 Pro is a flagship all-arounder powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, while the POCO F5 is the first smartphone to be introduced globally with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset.

After a successful global launch, the POCO F5 Series has officially arrived in the Philippines. To celebrate, Mr. Angus Ng, Head of Product Marketing for POCO, graced the media event to discuss the exciting new smartphone and its hyper-powered features on May 10.

POCO F5 Pro
The POCO F5 Pro can deliver stunning visuals for gaming or watching videos. The ultra-clear WQHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display has 1400 nits of peak brightness and 68 billion true-to-life colors. It produces gorgeous images, and the self-developed super touch improves gaming stability and accuracy, increasing the odds of winning.

A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset powers the POCO F5 Pro and uses less power while maintaining high performance. It also features LiquidCool Technology 2.0, a high-efficiency Vapor chamber, and FEAS 2.2 intelligent frame stabilization. Advanced heat dissipation technology boosts performance and extends battery and device life.

The POCO F5 Pro camera can take hyper-clear photos and videos. With high-definition output and a 25% broader P3 color range than sRGB, images look sharper. It also enables 8K video shooting, and OIS and EIS stabilize footage when filming quick and unpredictable subjects like animals, youngsters, sports games, music performances, and crowded events.

Finally, the 5160mAh battery will last all day and supports multiple fast charging methods,, making this a reliable companion day and night. The 30W wireless charger takes 30 minutes to charge the battery to 50%, while the 67W turbocharger will only take 15 minutes.

The POCO F5 is the first global smartphone powered by the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The new 5G chipset's Antutu score is 31% better than the previous version, beating some notable 8-series chipsets. LiquidCool Technology 2.0's Vapor chamber with steam passages absorbs heat generated by the chipset and improves heat dissipation by 35% to improve gameplay.

The 6.67-inch 120Hz Flow AMOLED DotDisplay lets you watch and enjoy your favorite content. Its 93.4% screen-to-body ratio makes YouTube, Netflix, and other streaming channels immersive. It's also eye-friendly due to 1920 Hz PWM dimming and SGS-certified Low Blue Light Ex eye care.

The POCO F5 64MP main camera includes many shooting modes and filters for taking images while you're not gaming. OIS and EIS eliminate blur, making 4K video shooting ideal for any situation. POCO's film filters and frames suit diverse users' aesthetics and preferences for taking great photos.

The POCO F5 has a super-fast charging time thanks to its 67W turbocharging, bringing power back up to 100% within 50 minutes.

POCO F5 Pro will come in two colors: Black and White and will be available in three variants:

12GB+256GB retail price at ₱28,999
12GB +512GB retail price at ₱30,999

POCO F5 Pro will be available for an early bird price of ₱23,999, ₱25,999, and ₱27,999 respectively starting May 9, 2023 via the POCO Official Store on Shopee.

While the POCO F5 will be available in white, blue, and black. It will be offered in two variants:

8GB+256GB retail price at ₱20,999
12GB+256GB retail price at ₱22,999

POCO F5 will be available at an early bird price of ₱18,299 and ₱20,099 starting May 9, 2023.
