The ergonomic placement of buttons and ports allows for simple access and comfortable handling. With its sleek design and lightweight profile of only 187g, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G stands out that combines superb design and functionality.
The volume rocker and power button are conveniently located on the device's right side, within easy reach of your thumb or index finger. This placement enables effortless volume adjustments and quick access to the power buttons, which also double as a fingerprint reader for quickly unlocking the phone.
On the bottom is the USB-C port for charging and data transfer, a speaker, a microphone, and the SIM slot. In addition, a 3.5mm headphone jack, another speaker, a microphone, and an IR blaster that can be used to control home appliances are located on the top, which is a cool feature of every Xioami device.
Up front, it features a stunning 6.67-inch Full HD+ Flow AMOLED display that enhances the overall visual experience and provides a great immersive experience for multimedia consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks.

Whether you are scrolling through social media, viewing videos, or playing games, the AMOLED display adds an additional dimension of radiance. It offers Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and Dolby Vision support.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 5G processor. Combined with 8GB (+3GB extended RAM) of RAM and 128GB of storage, this ensures smooth multitasking, snappy app launches, and ample storage space for your files and media.
The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset features advanced Imagiq camera technologies, robust MiraVision 4K HDR video processing, and HyperEngine networking enhancements. This 6nm chip has enhanced 5G for a faster online experience and power efficiency. The Arm Mali-G68 graphics engine and 2.6GHz Arm Cortex-A78 octa-core CPU deliver great performance, app response, and fluid gameplay.

When it comes to playing games on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, the experience was smooth and lag-free. The processor ensures fast and responsive gameplay, even in demanding online games with intense graphics and hard gameplay mechanics. The experience features seamless transitions, quick loading times, and minimal lag or stuttering during gameplay.
I downloaded Call of Duty Mobile from Google Play, and because this game requires precise controls and fluid performance, the phone manages it with ease, delivering responsive gameplay and precise control inputs. I was able to quickly aim, fire, and react to enemy movement, and thanks to the display's fast refresh rate, I have an advantage in multiplayer games.
Another mobile game I enjoy playing is Asphalt 9: Legends. The detailed graphics in this game require a fast processor. During gameplay, it was a fluid gaming experience with high frame rates, allowing me to appreciate fast-paced races with stunning visuals. The visuals look dazzling, with no obvious slowdowns or frame drops.

Smooth and immersive gaming experiences can be expected on the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G thanks to its powerful CPU and GPU and efficient power management. The Dimensity 1080 provides the performance required for an enjoyable gaming experience, whether you're playing graphically intensive games or casual titles.
Camera Performance
Its triple camera system, comprises a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel wide camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera.
It offers impressive capabilities in capturing both photos and videos. Having personally experienced using the device, I can say that it has a very capable camera system that can capture great images and videos.
The Sony IMX766 50-megapixel camera delivers exceptional image quality with sharpness and detail. It captures photos with vibrant colors, great details, and good exposure in a wide range of lighting conditions.
It has OIS for steady and stable shots, whether shooting landscapes, portraits, or everyday scenes. It also has Optic fusion with AI, which further improves the efficiency of light use.
For video recording it supports up to 4K at 30fps and for slow motion it supports 1080p at 120fps | 720p at 120/240/960fps.
While an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera offers a wide field of view, which is ideal for capturing landscapes, architecture, or large groups of people, it also accommodates more subjects within the frame. Photos have good detail and colors in wide-angle shots. While the resolution is marginally lower than the main camera, the image quality is still excellent for social media sharing.
I enjoy using the 2-megapixel macro camera to take close-up photos. It was enjoyable to capture often-overlooked details and textures. Despite its limited resolution, the macro camera produced remarkable results when shooting close-up subjects. From capturing flowers and insects to miniature everyday objects, the macro camera is ideal for creative and detailed shots that add a new dimension to the pictures I snap.
The camera does well in bright light but has difficulties capturing fine details and produces noticeable noise when used in low-light environments. The Night Mode feature helps to some extent, but it may not be able to compete with the results of low-light cameras in many situations.
The triple camera system offers impressive capabilities, and the Sony IMX766 wide camera produces excellent images. The front camera can shoot sharp and detailed selfies. While the ultra-wide and macro cameras' lower resolution and low-light capabilities should be improved. Overall, I love shooting photos and videos using the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G's camera, and it provides a great photography experience.
Battery Life
With its 5000mAh battery capacity, the Redmi Note 12 Pro delivers impressive battery life. I was able to use it for a full day of heavy usage, and it still had some power left in the evening before charging. Whether I was streaming videos, playing graphics-intensive games, or multitasking with various apps, the battery performed admirably.
The 67W turbo charging provides fast charging of the battery. In just a matter of minutes, it boosted the battery level significantly, providing me with hours of usage. This feature was particularly useful when I needed a quick power boost. The fast charging capabilities spared me the trouble of having to wait a long time for the battery to recharge.
