Unboxing
The Note 12 Pro 5G comes in typical Xioami packaging, opening the box will reveal a carefully arranged set of contents. The box includes the phone itself, the 67W fast charging adapter, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM card ejector tool, a protective case, and a user manual.

It's worth noting that Xiaomi has chosen not to include earphones with this device, which aligns with the industry trend of omitting them from smartphone packages.

Design and features
The Note 12 Pro 5G showcases a stylish design. The device features a glossy glass back with a glossy gradient finish, which enhances its visual appeal, and also provides a comfortable grip on the hand. The metal frame adds durability and a premium feel to the device.

The Note 12 Pro 5G has a lightweight build, which makes it a joy to hold and use for extended periods. Weighing in at 187g, the device feels comfortable in the hand, and its slim profile of only 7.9mm also contributes to its excellent portability.

It has a triple camera setup at the back, with the main camera sporting a 50-megapixel sensor. It also has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera for capturing expansive scenes and group shots. In addition, the 2-megapixel macro camera is great for taking close-ups of small subjects. There is also a 16-megapixel camera up front for shooting selfies.

At the top of the device are the 3.5mm audio jack, speaker, microphone, and IR blaster that allow you to control home appliances. Moving to the bottom, there's a USB Type-C port, another speaker, and a microphone, ensuring convenient charging, enhanced audio output, and clear voice capture.

The right side of the device houses the power button, which also serves as a fingerprint scanner for convenient and secure unlocking. Additionally, you'll find the volume rocker for easy control of audio levels. On the left side, there is the SIM slot that supports two nano-SIM cards and a dedicated microSD card slot, allowing for expandable storage options.

Moving to the front, the Note 12 Pro 5G boasts a large display that steals the spotlight. It also incorporates a centered hole-punch cutout, housing the front-facing camera. This design choice is not only visually appealing but also ensures a symmetrical and balanced look.

The display has a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel, which produces images and videos with vibrant colors. In addition, a high refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 900 nits make animations and transitions fluid and smooth, enhancing the overall user experience.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is packed with hardware features that make it a true powerhouse. At its core, the device features a powerful chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity 1080, paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and support for expanded RAM, offering ample memory to handle multitasking with ease.

In terms of storage, the Note 12 Pro 5G offers generous options, with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. This allows users to store their files, apps, and media without worrying about running out of space. Additionally, the device may offer expandable storage via a microSD card slot, further enhancing storage capabilities.

In terms of the Note 12 Pro 5G, it's packed with a large 5,000mAh battery with 67W turbo charging, enabling quick top-ups when needed.

First Impressions
The Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G is another good option in the mid-range smartphone segment. With its impressive specs and promising camera capabilities, Xiaomi continues to deliver compelling devices that offer excellent value for money.
