The 13.3-inch OLED screen on the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED was nothing short of impressive. This display is the heart of this device, and it truly enhances the overall computing and entertainment experience.
The display's 1920 x 1080 resolution provides vivid and sharp visuals. Whether I was browsing the web, editing photos, or watching movies, everything looked stunningly detailed. The touch-screen functionality was responsive and intuitive, making navigation a breeze.
Its brightness differentiates this OLED display. It means it's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Even in bright sunlight, I could comfortably view the screen without issues.
The VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified improves visual quality. It offered black depth making games and movies more realistic. Dark scenes in movies and games had a level of detail and contrast that immersed me in the content.
The color accuracy of this display is another highlight. With a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and PANTONE Validation. Colors popped with vibrancy and accuracy, making it ideal for creative work like photo editing or graphic design.
Low blue-light emissions have been certified by TÃœV Rheinland, making it suitable for extended use. Because of this, I could use the device for longer periods without experiencing any discomfort in my eyes.

Performance
Under the hood, the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is powered by an Intel Core i3-N300 processor with Intel UHD graphics, complemented by 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. With Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 support for fast and reliable connectivity. The ASUS ErgoSense keyboard provides a comfortable typing experience with a 1.4 mm key travel and 19.05mm full-size key pitch, making it suitable for productivity tasks.
When it came to web browsing, work-related stuff, and word processing the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED handled it with ease. Even with multiple tabs open, loading web pages was snappy and responsive. The OLED display's sharpness and vibrant colors made reading and viewing web content pleasurable. The fast Wi-Fi 6 connectivity ensured that web pages loaded quickly and streaming content was smooth.
While it's not designed for gaming, the Intel UHD Graphics can handle casual games, browser-based, and older games smoothly. The Intel UHD Graphics offered decent graphics performance for these types of games. The portable form factor and responsive touchscreen added to the gaming experience, making it suitable for touch-based games.
Despite its overall smooth performance, there were some limitations to the Intel Core i3-N300 processor. While capable of everyday tasks, it can struggle when running more demanding applications or multitasking scenarios, especially when dealing with resource-intensive software like photo editing and video rendering.
The 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while suitable for multitasking, can become a bottleneck when running multiple resource-hungry applications simultaneously or working on larger files. Unfortunately, due to its form factor, RAM upgrades are not possible.
The 256GB UFS 2.1 storage, while providing fast read and write speeds, may feel limited for users who store a significant amount of data, such as large media libraries or extensive software installations. An alternative solution to consider is using external or cloud storage solutions if you require more space.
Battery Life and Fast Charging
The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is equipped with a 50Wh battery, and during my experience, it consistently delivered around 9 hours of battery life on a single charge. On the rare occasions when I needed to charge the battery quickly, the 65W fast charging capabilities came to the rescue. The USB-C port allowed me to charge up to 60% in just 39 minutes. This feature is a time saver, ensuring that I can return to work or play without long waiting periods.
