Acer just wrapped up its very first Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025, a two-day event held on May 7-8, 2025 at the Renaissance Bangkok Ratchaprasong Hotel in Thailand. Themed “Shaping Tomorrow: AI and Digital Technologies in Education.”

The summit brought together education leaders, tech experts, and government officials from across the Asia Pacific region—including countries like the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, and more.

The goal was simple: to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools can help shape the future of education.

As classrooms around the world embrace digital learning, AI is playing a bigger role in how students learn and how teachers teach. This summit gave attendees a space to talk about the real-life impact of these technologies—whether it’s making lessons more engaging, helping schools run more smoothly, or preparing students for future jobs in tech.

“Acer created this summit as a catalyst for innovation,” said Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific. “Digitalization has demonstrated its capabilities to complement, enrich, and transform education.”

Throughout the event, tech giants like Intel, Windows, and Google hosted interactive booths. Visitors also got to see how esports and gaming tech, like Aopen, Predator Gaming, and SpatialLabs, can be used in classrooms to make learning more fun and interactive.

A highlight of the summit was the reveal of new AI-powered systems from Altos, Acer’s cloud and server brand. Two standout platforms were introduced:

Altos BrainSphere R680 F7 – This powerful system can handle heavy graphics and AI tasks, thanks to support for up to eight NVIDIA RTX™️ 6000 Blackwell GPUs.

Altos BrainSphere R880 F7 – Designed for serious AI work, this system is built for training large language models (like the ones behind today’s smart chatbots). It runs on the latest NVIDIA B200 Blackwell Ultra GPU, offering strong performance with energy efficiency.

Both systems were designed with the future in mind, helping schools and research institutions meet growing demands in AI and education.

Andrew Hou
closed the event by emphasizing Acer’s long-term vision: “The Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025 reinforces Acer’s commitment to equipping educators and learners with tools that not only enhance education today but also prepare them for the evolving digital landscape of tomorrow.”

In short, Acer isn’t just making laptops anymore—they’re helping lead the way in how technology supports education in a digital-first world.
