Samsung presented its “Your Companion to AI Living” vision at CES 2026, detailing how artificial intelligence can move past standalone features and operate as a connected layer across devices. Rather than adding complexity, the focus was on practical AI integration across TVs, home appliances, and personal devices, positioning AI as a system-level experience that supports everyday use.

During The First Look, TM Roh, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX), explained how Samsung’s wide ecosystem allows AI to work naturally across categories. “Samsung is building a more unified, more personal experience across mobile, visual display, home appliances and services,” said CEO TM Roh.

Entertainment Companion: Smarter TVs, Better Context
Samsung highlighted how its TVs are evolving into entertainment companions. The centerpiece is the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, which uses individually controlled red, green, and blue light sources to deliver improved color accuracy and detail, paired with a clean, frame-style design.

At the core of the experience is Vision AI Companion (VAC). VAC helps users decide what to watch, adjust sound elements through voice commands, and even suggest meals or music based on context. VAC supports Samsung’s 2026 TV lineup, including Micro LED, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED, and UHD models.

The lineup also introduces HDR10+ ADVANCED, Eclipsa Audio for spatial sound, and Samsung’s most powerful Tizen OS yet, with up to seven years of software updates.

Home Companion: AI That Simplifies Daily Routines
In the home, Samsung focused on using AI to reduce everyday friction. With SmartThings now serving over 430 million users, appliances can respond more intelligently to daily habits.

The Family Hub refrigerator now features upgraded AI Vision built with Google Gemini, improving food recognition and tracking. Features like “What’s for Today?” suggest meals based on available ingredients, while SmartThings Food and Video to Recipe4 provide step-by-step cooking guidance.

Samsung also updated the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo with faster cycles and no-load transfers. The Bespoke AI AirDresser uses air and steam to reduce wrinkles, while the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra can detect spills, navigate carefully, and monitor the home when users are away.

Care Companion: A Shift Toward Proactive Support
Samsung also outlined its long-term care direction, using AI to support health before issues arise. Connected phones, wearables, and home devices enable personalized exercise guidance, sleep coaching, and food suggestions.

If unusual patterns are detected, users can receive alerts and share data with professionals through the Xealth platform. Samsung is also expanding research into early dementia detection through wearable technology. Data across this ecosystem is protected by Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix, which continue to evolve as AI capabilities expand.A Grounded View of AI Living

Samsung’s CES 2026 message was clear and calm. AI doesn’t need to feel overwhelming or futuristic. When done right, it becomes a quiet companion, one that helps make everyday life smoother, more connected, and a little easier.
