Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 series in the Philippines. The new lineup includes the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s Samsung’s third generation of AI-focused smartphones, and the goal is simple: reduce effort and make everyday use smoother.
This year, Samsung focused on making AI feel more natural and less complicated. Instead of adding features just for show, the Galaxy S26 series is built to quietly assist with daily tasks, whether it’s organizing your schedule, editing photos, or managing apps.
Built for Speed, Stability, and All-Day Use
The Galaxy S26 series runs on Samsung’s most powerful hardware yet. Across the lineup, the phones are optimized for AI performance, power efficiency, and better heat management.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. Samsung claims that CPU performance improves by up to 19%, while NPU performance increases by 39%. That means AI features run faster and more smoothly, even when multiple apps are open. GPU performance also improves by 24%, making gaming and video playback more fluid.
To maintain stable performance, Samsung redesigned the Vapor Chamber cooling system inside the Ultra. Heat spreads more efficiently across the device, helping it stay cool during gaming, multitasking, or long video recording sessions.
Samsung also upgraded its display processing. ProScaler improves image sharpness, while the updated mDNIe engine delivers more accurate and natural colors. Charging is quicker, too. With Super Fast Charging 3.0, the Galaxy S26 Ultra can reach up to 75% in just 30 minutes.
Galaxy S26 Ultra Introduces Built-In Privacy Display
One of the biggest highlights this year is the new built-in Privacy Display on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Unlike traditional stick-on privacy films, this solution is integrated directly into the screen. When activated, it limits side-angle visibility while keeping the display clear for the user.
It can automatically turn on when entering PINs or opening selected apps. Users can also adjust the level of privacy protection depending on the situation. There’s even Partial Screen Privacy for notifications and Maximum Privacy Protection for stronger side blocking. It’s a practical feature for public spaces like cafés, public transport, or shared work areas.
Smarter Galaxy AI That Works in the Background
Galaxy AI continues to evolve with more proactive tools that reduce steps between intent and action. Now Nudge provides timely suggestions based on context. If someone asks for photos from a recent trip, the phone can automatically suggest relevant images without digging through albums.

Now Brief surfaces reminders for reservations, travel updates, or meetings based on your schedule. Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to identify several items in a single image.
Bixby has also been upgraded to understand more natural language commands. Samsung integrates additional AI agents like Gemini and Perplexity, allowing users to complete tasks such as booking a taxi with a simple voice prompt.
Improved Camera System for Photos and Videos
Samsung continues to refine its camera system across the Galaxy S26 series. On the Galaxy S26 Ultra, wider apertures allow more light into the sensor. This results in clearer low-light photos with better detail, even when zooming in.

Nightography Video has been enhanced for brighter and more stable recordings in dim environments. Super Steady now includes a horizontal lock option to help maintain consistent framing during movement.
The Ultra model also supports APV, a new professional-grade video codec designed to maintain high quality even after repeated edits. AI ISP improvements extend to the selfie camera, helping produce more natural skin tones in mixed lighting.
Editing tools are also smarter. With Photo Assist, users can describe edits in simple words — whether changing the time of day in a photo or restoring missing parts of an object. Creative Studio allows users to generate stickers, wallpapers, and invitations from sketches, images, or text prompts without switching apps.
Document Scan has also improved. It removes distortions and distractions like fingers or creases and can combine multiple scans into a clean PDF instantly.
Stronger Privacy and Long-Term Protection
As AI becomes more personal, Samsung strengthens privacy and security across the Galaxy S26 series. AI-powered Call Screening identifies unknown callers and summarizes their intent. Privacy Alerts notify users if apps try to access sensitive data like location or contacts.

Private Album lets users hide selected photos and videos directly within Gallery without creating a separate folder. Samsung also expands post-quantum cryptography protection to key system processes and enhances Knox Matrix for connected devices. The Galaxy S26 series comes with seven years of security updates, giving users longer peace of mind.
