Samsung launches new T7 and T9 microSD cards with updated branding
Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its new T7 and T9 microSD Cards. The new cards expand Samsung's removable storage portfolio while replacing the previous EVO Plus, PRO Plus, and PRO Ultimate naming structure with a more streamlined lineup.

The launch of the T7 and T9 microSD Cards follows Samsung's broader effort to unify its removable storage products under a more consistent branding strategy. The refreshed lineup is intended to help consumers more easily distinguish products based on their performance level and intended use.

With the introduction of the new naming convention, Samsung is transitioning away from the EVO and PRO series names. The company says the "T" branding represents "Trustworthiness," while the recently introduced "P" series stands for "Peace of Mind."

T7 microSD Card Targets Everyday Users
The Samsung T7 microSD Card is positioned as an expandable storage solution for daily users, intermediate content creators, and casual gamers who continue to accumulate files across multiple devices.

It offers capacities of up to 1TB and delivers read speeds of up to 170MB/s. Samsung says the card is designed to work across a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and handheld gaming consoles.

As media libraries, apps, and mobile games continue to grow in size, expandable storage remains a practical option for users who need additional space without upgrading their devices.

T9 microSD Card Focuses on Performance
For users who demand faster performance, Samsung has introduced the T9 microSD Card. Designed for gaming enthusiasts, professional creators, drone operators, and action camera users, the T9 delivers read speeds of up to 200MB/s and write speeds of up to 130MB/s when paired with Samsung's microSD reader.

The card also features Samsung's 6-proof protection, providing added reliability in various usage environments. Samsung says the T9 is suitable for performance-intensive workloads and large file transfers, making it a good fit for content creation and high-resolution recording.

The T7 and T9 microSD Cards use the microSDXC form factor and support the UHS-I SDR104 and UHS-I DDR200 interface when used with Samsung's microSD reader.

The T9 offers read speeds of up to 200MB/s and write speeds of up to 130MB/s, while the T7 delivers read speeds of up to 170MB/s. Both cards carry U3, V30, A2, and Class 10 ratings and come with a limited three-year warranty.
