Running from May 1 to May 31, 2026, the booth transforms the space into an interactive smart home setup where visitors can experience Yale’s smart security products firsthand instead of just viewing them on shelves.
Built around the theme “Unlock Real Life Security. Upgrade to a Smart Yale Home,” the setup focuses on making smart home technology feel more practical and easier to understand in everyday use.

The Smart Yale Home booth doesn’t feel like a typical gadget showcase. Yale designed the installation in the shape of a “Y,” complete with working doors and home simulation areas that include a living room and bedroom setup.
Rather than tapping random demo units attached to a wall, visitors get to try the products the way they would normally use them at home. Fingerprint unlocking, PIN access, RFID cards, mobile app controls, and even newer contactless security features are all available for hands-on testing.
That experience matters more than expected. After a few tries, simple actions like unlocking a door without pulling keys out of your pocket already start feeling natural. The setup also provides a clearer picture of how smart locks fit into everyday routines, rather than just sounding like another tech upgrade on paper.
One of the biggest attractions inside the booth is the Yale Luna Elite+, currently Yale’s flagship smart lock. The lock introduces FaceScan and PalmScan access powered by 3D structured light technology. FaceScan unlocks the door in under a second, while PalmScan reads vein patterns through a simple hand gesture for contactless authentication.
During the walkthrough, Isabel Oli-Prats mentioned how useful the touchless setup feels for families, especially during busy routines at home.
Seeing it work in person feels surprisingly quick and smooth. It’s one thing to read about biometric features online, but actually watching the lock respond instantly makes the experience easier to appreciate.
Beyond FaceScan and PalmScan, the Luna Elite+ also supports fingerprint access, RFID, PIN codes, mechanical keys, and remote access through the Yale Home App. There’s also a built-in display for viewing visitors in real time, along with two-way communication and motion alerts for additional monitoring.
