Maya has introduced Mini Payments, a new feature that allows eligible credit card purchases to be converted into smaller monthly payments directly through the Maya app. Available to Maya Black Credit Card and Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card holders.
This feature gives users more flexibility in managing larger purchases without having to rely on merchant-specific installment offers or limited-time promotions.
Unlike traditional installment programs that are often available only at select stores, Mini Payments allows cardholders to convert eligible purchases after they have already been posted to their account. This means users can decide later whether they want to spread the cost of a purchase over several months.
Cardholders can choose from 3, 6, 9, or 12-month payment terms, all carrying a fixed 1% monthly interest rate regardless of the selected plan. Maya says approvals can be completed within 24 hours, with payment schedules and remaining balances accessible directly through the app.
To qualify, the total amount converted must meet the minimum requirement for the selected term:
₱3,000 for 3 months
₱6,000 for 6 months
₱9,000 for 9 months
₱12,000 for 12 months
₱6,000 for 6 months
₱9,000 for 9 months
₱12,000 for 12 months
Maya noted that there is no minimum amount required per transaction. Multiple eligible purchases can be combined to reach the required amount, giving cardholders additional flexibility when creating a Mini Payment plan.
Users can also estimate their monthly payments through the Mini Payments calculator available within the Maya platform. As part of its launch promotion, Maya is waiving processing fees for all Mini Payments created on or before September 30, 2026.
To use the feature, cardholders simply need to open the Maya app, select an eligible posted transaction from their credit card account, choose a preferred payment term, and review the payment breakdown before confirming the conversion.
The app displays the monthly payment amount, total interest charges, and payment schedule before final approval, allowing users to review the details before proceeding.
With Mini Payments, Maya aims to provide cardholders with a more flexible way to manage spending by turning eligible purchases into fixed monthly payments directly from the app.
