OPPO Bubble Is One of the Coolest Smartphone Accessories We've Seen Yet

OPPO has introduced the OPPO Bubble, a magnetic wireless smart accessory that acts as a pocket-sized secondary display for your smartphone. Unveiled alongside the OPPO Reno16 Series, the Bubble is designed to make rear-camera selfies, group photos, and content creation easier by providing a live camera preview and adding a touch of personalization with its compact AMOLED display.

The OPPO Bubble features a 1.73-inch AMOLED touchscreen housed in a lightweight body measuring just 7mm thick and weighing around 27.5g. Once magnetically attached to a compatible smartphone, it displays a real-time view from the rear cameras, allowing users to capture higher-quality selfies with the phone's main camera rather than the front-facing shooter. It also works as a wireless remote shutter, enabling users to take photos or videos from up to 10 meters away, with zoom controls available on supported devices.

Photography is only part of what the Bubble can do. When you're not using it as a camera monitor, its AMOLED display transforms into a customizable smart screen capable of showing personal photos, animated wallpapers, motion images, short video loops, custom artwork, and even interactive digital pets. 

Think of it as a miniature always-on display that adds personality to your smartphone. It can also be attached to bags, pouches, or other accessories, allowing it to double as a stylish digital badge rather than just another camera gadget.

The accessory is compatible with selected OPPO smartphones, including the Reno16 Series and other supported ColorOS devices. It also works with iPhone X and newer models running iOS 15 or later through OPPO's O+ Connect app. 

Thanks to MagSafe, the Bubble attaches directly to compatible iPhones without additional accessories. However, while the included magnetic ring allows it to physically attach to other Android smartphones such as Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, vivo, and HONOR devices, its smart features including the live camera preview and wireless shutter control are currently exclusive to compatible OPPO smartphones.

Pricing and Availability

The OPPO Bubble is priced at ₹7,999 in India (approximately ₱5,100). In the Philippines, OPPO has yet to announce its official retail price, although the accessory is already listed on the company's online store. Customers who place a ₱1,000 reservation fee on any OPPO Reno16 Series smartphone before August 20 will receive a ₱2,000 discount voucher that can be used toward purchasing the OPPO Bubble.
