vivo Philippines has officially launched the vivo V80 in the country, expanding its V series lineup with a smartphone focused on photography, personal style, and a more customizable user experience.
The latest release combines vivo's partnership with ZEISS, creative AI features, and a refreshed design. It also introduces OriginOS 7, giving users more ways to personalize their smartphone and everyday interactions.
ZEISS Triple-Camera System for Portrait Photography
The vivo V80 comes with a triple rear camera system developed in collaboration with ZEISS. It consists of a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera, and an 8MP ZEISS ultra-wide camera.
The telephoto camera supports ZEISS 85mm and 100mm Center-Stage Portrait options, giving users different focal lengths for portrait photography. It also features optical image stabilization (OIS) and autofocus. Meanwhile, the 8MP ultra-wide camera has a 115-degree field of view for capturing wider scenes and group photos.
For selfies, the device uses a 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera with autofocus and a 92-degree field of view.
It also includes several camera software features. AI Creative Camera offers different lighting effects, while Creative Sticker Collage lets users turn people, pets, and selected photos into movable stickers. CCD Flash Portrait adds a film-inspired effect to photos.
144Hz AMOLED Display and Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Performance
The smartphone features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process. Its octa-core processor reaches clock speeds of up to 2.8GHz.
The Philippine variants co`me with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, paired with either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also supports up to 16GB of expandable RAM. On the software side, the phone runs OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The interface introduces four customization themes:Wiggle: Features motion-responsive wallpapers that react to movement.
Pet Pals: Adds interactive pet elements to the interface.
Glint: Introduces shimmering visual effects.
StickIt: Lets users incorporate customizable stickers into different parts of the system.
These features provide additional ways to personalize the home screen and everyday smartphone interactions.
Large Battery and 90W Fast Charging
Battery capacity is another notable feature. The device packs a 7,200mAh typical Li-ion battery with support for 90W wired charging. The combination is designed to support extended daily use while allowing users to recharge the battery faster when needed.
For security, vivo includes 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0. The smartphone also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Distinctive Glass Design in Two Colors
The exterior combines cold-carved glass, an aerospace-grade aluminum frame, and smoothly contoured edges. There are two color options to choose from. Starwish Purple uses Laser Holographic Lithography to create a three-dimensional, galaxy-inspired effect that changes depending on how light hits the back panel. Meanwhile, Wander Green takes a more understated approach with refined, low-saturation tones that subtly shift under different lighting conditions.
