HONOR 9X

The HONOR 9X was launched last November 2019, it features a triple camera, pop-up selfie camera, and notch less full-view display. Targeting the photography and gamer users in the midrange market that are looking for an affordable smartphone with great cameras and gaming capabilities.
 
HONO 9X sports a triple camera at the back and it's powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor and it also has a 4000mAh battery. Here are our Unboxing and first impression.
Unboxing
It comes in standard box design with a white and blue color box with the image of the HONOR 9X at the front of the box, inside it contains the HONOR 9X smartphone, clear case, SIM ejector PIN, Charger, Type-C cable, and paper documents. No earphones included but not to worry it does has a 3.5mm audio jack so you can still enjoy your wired headset.



Design
HONOR 9X has a smooth back panel with a glimmering pearl X effect that dazzles from different angles.



The triple camera is slightly protruded and below is the LED light, it's advisable to use the included case or you can buy your preferred case to protect the camera lens.



There's also a fingerprint scanner at the upper-middle portion of the device.



At the bottom are the 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB Type-C charging/data port, and a speaker grille.



While on top, is the hybrid dual SIM slot, microphone and of course the mechanical pop-up camera.



To the right side are the power button and the volume controls, while there's nothing at the left side.
First Impressions
HONOR 9X comes with a notchless 6.59-inch full HD IPS display, and equipped with a pop-up 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera system is a good device for its category.



In terms of design, It has a nice curved body with huge fullview display, great for consuming media and playing games such as Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends and other popular online games and since it supports dual SIM with 4G LTE connection you can almost play anytime or anywhere you want.



It's powered by 2.2GHz 64-bit Kirin 710F octa-core processor with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and GPU Turbo 3.0 technology for better gaming experience. It's packed with 6GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage and comes with 4,000mAh with 10W charging capability. With this configuration, you can install and run most of the apps you want from the Google Play.



HONOR 9X AnTuTu Benchmark score

Out of the box it runs on Android 9 Pie OS with EMUI 9.1.0 and yes it has Google Mobile Services that means you can enjoy all the available apps on Google Play and Services on this device.



For the camera performance, it's too easy to tell but we took some early sample pictures and it looks promising so we still need to test its camera capabilities in the full review.



Overall we like how HONOR positioned the HONOR 9X in the market with its nice notchless fullview display, a capable processor, good battery life, promising triple camera setup and motorized pop-up selfie camera and it has Google services. Stay tuned for the full review soon.

The HONOR 9x is priced at Php12,940 At PHP 12,490, it is now available in all Honor and partner retailers nationwide.
