Realme C11 Unboxing, First Impressions

realme C11

realme’s latest entry-level smartphone, the realme C11 is the company’s most affordable smartphone this year. Dubbed "The New Battery King" it packs a 5,000mAh battery and is the first smartphone powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor.

After the successful launch of its flagship device, the realme X3 SuperZoom, just a couple of weeks ago, the company is back on entry-level with its latest realme C series, the realme C11. It looks good on paper, so we review this smartphone to see if it can be used by students for homeschooling.

Unboxing realme C11
There’s nothing much special about the packaging, it comes in realme’s signature yellow box with important information at the back. The box contains the realme C11 smartphone, ejector pin, manual, micro USB cable, and charger, too bad it does not come with wired earphones.

realme continues its trending design with the C11 it has a Geometric Art Design at the back, with stripes going to the cameras. It comes in two colors mint green and pepper grey.

There’s a 6.5-inch mini-drop fullscreen display up front, with 1600 x 720 pixel resolution, an 88.7% screen-to-body ratio, and the usual 20:9 aspect ratio. Up top on the notch is the 5-megapixel AI camera sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. It looks like it does not have any protective layer on the screen.

The power button and volume controls are located on the right side, while on the other side is the SIM slot with a triple tray that supports two nano-SIM cards and a microSD card for extra storage.

Going to the bottom are the usual connectivity ports, the micro-USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, microphones, and a loudspeaker.

The back panel of the C11 has an interesting design, it has a strip where the branding is placed, going to the camera module.

Speaking of the camera, it has a square-shaped camera module. At first glance, you might mistake it for a quad-camera setup, but looking closer, it only has a dual camera setup, which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 secondary sensor for portrait shots.

There is no fingerprint sensor on the back panel, but it supports face unlock and PIN unlock for security.

Powering the C11 is the latest MediaTek Helio G35 SoC, an entry-level gaming chip. It also comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, good thing it supports microSD card for extra storage needs. The company opted for this configuration to keep the cost of the realme C11 at an affordable level.

realme C11 First impressions
This new entry-level realme smartphone is a decent device for those who are looking for a new phone that they can use for the upcoming school year. What you are getting is a nice large display, a capable processor, a nice dual camera, a decent selfie camera for video calling, and a huge battery capacity that is perfect for long hours of virtual classes.

Too bad it only has a 2GB RAM option, which might not be enough for multiple tasks, so if you have a couple of hundred pesos to spare, you might want to consider realme C3 which is more powerful and capable of gaming.
