This device is 202g, it's a hefty device, and you can feel its weight when holding it. The build is solid with its signature design at the back panel, and the curved edges make it look more premium.

In terms of design, realme uses a classic design on the realme X3 SuperZoom with a nice finish at the back, and the Arctic design looks elegant in the Arctic White color. Thanks to its smooth matte finish, it's not a smudge magnet, and the included clear soft case helps protect the back panel.

Speaking of the back panel, the realme X3 SuperZoom uses high-precision abrasive etching technology for industry-leading anti-glare, fingerprint-proof glass.

Upfront is the 6.6-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, it's the only smartphone in the sub-25k price segment to feature a 120Hz refresh rate, which is 2x better compared to a conventional 60Hz display. It has a 90.5% screen-to-body ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 against scratches.

What does 120Hz mean on a smartphone? Well, it means that you can experience smoother motion and transitions. Also, faster update times mean lower latency and pixels are being refreshed more often. So watching videos with 4K resolution is more enjoyable, and the text is sharper. But now that so many people are playing games since mobile games are still coded to take advantage of a 60Hz refresh rate, let's hope developers update their games to take advantage of this technology.

The disadvantage of using 120Hz is that it requires more power, so expect the battery to drain faster. If you want to save energy, you may want to use 60Hz when your battery is already low.

One notable feature of this phone is the placement of the fingerprint reader, unlike other flagship smartphones, this one takes advantage of putting the fingerprint reader on the power button, which is one of the best implementations of this security feature.

At the back is the 64-megapixel quad camera with a 5x periscope telephoto lens with up to 60x Superzoom. On the front, it sports a dual selfie camera with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX 616 lens and an 8-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera.

For wireless connectivity, this phone packs a 2*2 MIMO Wi-Fi Antenna with 4G LTE on both of its SIMs. For WiFi, it supports 802.11 ac at 2.4/5GHz, and it also comes with Bluetooth 5.0.

The SIM slot is placed at the bottom, it only supports two nano-SIMs and has no microSD card slot, but since it already has 256GB of internal storage, that’s more than enough to store all the data you want, hence no need for extra storage.

Since it's an open-line SIM, you can use two different SIMs to take advantage of both worlds on Globe and Smart. Mobile data connectivity is great on this phone, too bad it does not support 5G connectivity for a faster connection, but hey, it’s still good since 5G technology is not yet fully implemented in the country.

realme X3 SuperZoom

Performance-wise, this phone is equipped with a 2.96GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ octa-core processor, it's a flagship SoC, but it's last year’s best mobile processor. But still, it's the best mobile platform built for gaming, with advanced performance and an improved graphics accelerator. It also has an Adreno 640 (700 MHz) GPU, 12GB of RAM, and massive 256GB UFS internal storage. It’s powered by a 4200mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge.

On the AnTuTu benchmark, the realme X3 SuperZoom scored 499,816, but realme claimed that it was able to achieve 517,743 based on their lab test. It’s still impressive, and it’s one of the highest scores in the app.

Out of the box, it runs on realme UI 1.0, and you will love its simply designed app icon, which looks elegant and fun to look at. The icons can be easily customized in the settings menu to look the way you want them to.

realme X3 SuperZoom Game Test Review

Some cool features on the realm UI are the Game Space and Game Assistant, designed to optimize performance and power consumption and manage notification management when playing games. It offers a lot of customization and security features, and yes, it also supports dark mode system-wide. Now that’s a nifty feature.

The realme X3 SuperZoom is equipped with a 4,200mAh battery with 30W Dart Charge, a unique low-voltage and high-current solution. Dart Charge will charge the battery four times faster than standard chargers.

The new and improved battery significantly increases charging speed by 30%. Using the included charger, it was able to charge the battery from 15% to 100% in less than one hour. Now that’s impressive.

Pros
120Hz display
Flagship Specs
Affordable pricing
Camera features
Excellent gaming performance
Solid battery life

Cons
The camera can be better
The power button seems wobbly
NO NFC

Conclusion
For its price of only ₱ 24,990, the realme X3 SuperZoom offers great value for money and comes with amazing features such as a 120Hz display, 64MP Quad periscope camera, flagship mobile processor, huge 12GB of RAM, massive 256GB storage, and good battery life. There's no doubt that this device can perform well, and it’s a certified gaming device, so for sure you will enjoy longer gaming time. It does get hot at the back when playing games for a long time, but it's a good thing it has liquid cooling to keep the device cool.
