Huawei Philippines announces its new generation of Matepad tablets, the Huawei MatePad and Huawei MatePad T10 both tablets that feature the DNA of the MatePad line-up with powerful performance, immersive viewing, and audio experience.

The Huawei Matepad is a 10-inch tablet with packed with features, we got a hold of one, and here is our unboxing and initial first impression.

Unboxing
The Matepad comes in a white box, with the branding on top and the specs printed on the side of the box.

Inside are the usual contents which are the Huawei Matepad tablet, 18W charger, type-C cable, ejector PIN, quick start guide, warranty card, and a type-C to 3.5mm audio adapter which is a nice touch since the tablet don’t have an audio jack.


Design and Built
The Matepad is a premium looking tablet with is midnight gray color, at the back is the Huawei banding at the center, and the dual camera is placed at the top corner.

When holding the tablet in portrait mode, the volume rocker is on the right side, the MicroSD slot is on the left side and the power button is at the top together with two sets of the speaker grille. there are also four dot holes on the right side beside the volume rocker.

At the bottom are the type-C port, flanked by another two-loudspeaker grille. For audio, it packs quad-speaker systems with quad-channel sound systems with Harman Kardon sound that delivers rich acoustic details. . It also has 4-microphone systems that feature noise reduction to ensure smooth voice/video calls.

There’s a 10.4-inch Full HD+ IPS display upfront that looks really great, with 7.99mm bezels the colors are vivid and the graphics looks amazing. It has a TÃœV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certified display for eye protection.

It also supports Huawei M-pencils (sold separately) if you want to use this tablet for drawing or digital painting.

Performance
The Huawei MatePad is powered by Kirin 820 processor with a Mali-G52 GPU supported by GPU Turbo Technology. It also comes with h4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, and packs a 7,250mAh battery, and 22.5W fast charging support.

First Impressions
With today’s high demands for smartphones and tablets, the Huawei MatePad is a good choice if you are looking for a well-designed tablet that you can use for both work and school activities. This tablet has a slim and stylish premium look that can handle all the tasks you need to accomplish with its Kirin 820 octa-core chipset and 128GB storage which is more than enough space save work and school-related files.
