PayRemit - The Only Shopping App for OFWs who Want to shop for their Families

As e-commerce grew in the Philippines, one segment was left out--OFWs. Since most OFWs do not have credit cards, they cannot shop and pay online. PayRemit is an app for migrant workers who want to shop for their families and pay bills back home.

Migrant workers may now purchase online and pay with remittances thanks to PayRemit's payment gateway. Goldilocks and Cebu Pacific are two of PayRemit's most famous partner merchants. In 2018, PayRemit extended its services and launched a Facebook shopping site for appliances and gadgets that OFWs could send to their relatives back home.

Today, the PayRemit App is a well-stocked, curated marketplace that can deliver items to OFWs across Luzon and select Vis/Min areas.

“We had to respond to OFWs’ needs. They wanted an online platform for appliances and gadgets. So we built one. ,” says Vincent Grey, PayRemit President & CEO Payremit continued to listen to the market and made it possible for OFWs to pay in installment starting 2019. Filipinos in the Middle East, Europe, and Asia can enjoy the same benefits as credit cards when shopping on the PayRemit App.

PayRemit goes above and beyond by allowing OFWs to use concierge services to make purchases. Customers may message PayRemit on Facebook and receive assistance throughout the process. PayRemit also has sales representatives that are fellow OFWs and happy PayRemit clients who may assist their kabayans with shopping.

Aside from the personal touch, what truly distinguishes PayRemit is its capacity to receive cash payments from OFWs. This is something that no other e-commerce site can do. PayRemit uses local vendors such as Abenson, Royal Star Appliances, and K Servico for fulfillment since they can deliver products at a lower cost.

True to its purpose--to empower the lives of Filipino migrant workers and their families. PayRemit will launch more products and services before the year is over.
