Acer Introduces Eco-friendly Chromebook Vero 514!

Acer launched the Acer Chromebook Vero 514, the first in its line of eco-conscious Vero devices. It represents the company's dedication to sustainability by offering consumers and commercial clients more options to lessen their ecological footprint.

The new Acer Chromebook Vero 514 is the newest addition to Acer's Vero line, which consists of Aspire Vero laptops, Veriton Vero all-in-ones, Vero monitors, a Vero projector, and Vero branded accessories, such as a mouse and keyboard.

The Acer Chromebook Vero 514 (CBV514-1H/T) is easy to update, repair, disassemble, and recycle. It uses 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in the chassis and 50% in the keycaps, 100% ocean-bound plastic for the touchpad surface, and 90% recycled paper packaging.

The new Vero 514 uses PCR plastic in its chassis, screen bezel, keycaps, and speakers. It als uses ocean-bound plastics in its internal fan housing and on its OceanGlass touchpad, which has a glass-like smoothness and responsive tactile sense.

This Chromebook has a longer lifespan to reduce the environmental effects. Standard screws on the bottom cover simplify memory and storage upgrades. The paint-free chassis has a cobblestone gray finish and a 99% recyclable display panel. The Vero 514 has a MIL-STD 810H impact-resistant casing that protects it from drops as high as 122 cm (48 inches).

The 14-inch full HD anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen display has 300 nits brightness and a wide 100% sRGB color gamut. Thin bezels give the Vero 514 an 88% screen-to-body ratio. It packs an HD flare-reducing webcam and DTS audio with Smart Amplifier to deliver high-quality video conferencing.

Powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and featuring Intel Iris Xe graphics, that can easily tackle collaboration, productivity, and entertainment needs. The fast-charging battery keeps users going all day, charging up to 50% of its 10-hour battery life in 30 minutes.

This Chromebook is designed for creating and connecting and features fast and reliable Wi-Fi 6E. It has two USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI charging ports.

The Enterprise Vero 514 enables enterprise customers with ChromeOS business capabilities, increasing operating efficiency and productivity. It has superior security, reporting, and insights, scalable cloud-based management, and zero-touch registration.

Recyclable Packaging
Recyclable packaging reduces waste. The box and notebook bag are comprised of 90% recycled paper and 100% recycled plastic. Paper replaces plastic for the adapter sleeve. Once the Chromebook is set up, its box can be used as a triangular laptop stand or for other domestic or workplace activities.
