Metrobank Promotes Financial Education with Moneybility

Metrobank Moneybility

The Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) strengthened its financial education initiative by publishing Moneybility, an e-book that will assist Filipinos in becoming financially resilient.

Metrobank previewed Moneybility, a dynamic financial education e-book, and platform. It's part of Metrobank's effort to be the Bank that Educates.

Moneybility isn't a typical financial e-book. It provides updated money management subjects as markets evolve. Quizzes, a money tracker, and a calculator help make money issues more relatable and understandable.

This innovative financial education tool is convenient for creating smart money habits on budgeting, debt, insurance, investing, and more. Moneybility is available on moneybility.metrobank.com.ph.

“We strive to go beyond just providing the usual banking services and aim to be the credible and reliable partner of our customers for expert financial advice. With education as our driving force, we hope to fulfill their needs while at the same time empower them to sustain a financially resilient way of living,” said Metrobank Chief Marketing Officer Digs Dimagiba.

Metrobank, which has served Filipinos for 60 years, recognizes the importance of financial education in creating a financially inclusive nation. Standard & Poor's 2016 Global FinLit Survey found an association between financial literacy and economic growth. World Bank's 2014 Financial Capability Survey found that only 25% of Filipinos are financially literate, lagging behind other ASEAN countries. The pandemic has increased Filipinos' interest in personal finance. This was supported by financial companies and social media content makers discussing money.

Metrobank has released many financial education tools. Earnest is for folks with basic financial knowledge who want to invest. Earnest has easy-to-understand lesson cards, financial news, and investing explainers. It also offers Metrobank My Choice Investment funds for PHP 1,000 and Metrobank Savings accounts. Earnest.ph or the Play Store and App Store provide apps for users.

Tara Invest is a series of bite-sized social media videos about investing essentials. Metrobank established Wealth Insights for high-net-worth clientele. Through Wealth Insights, the Bank's finance professionals and independent third-party research providers like CreditSights may offer free investment recommendations, wealth management insights, and market-moving news. For investment advice, visit wealthinsights.ph.

Metrobank's MoneyBasics offers straightforward, creative articles and social media updates to help consumers save. Metrobank produces a multimedia series called Fight Fraud to educate Filipinos about financial fraud and how to prevent it. Metrobank and other local banks launched ScamProof.ph, a fraud-prevention website.
