You can now drive the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in Gran Turismo 7. Xiaomi’s high-performance electric sedan officially joins the game’s car lineup through Update 1.67 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This marks Xiaomi’s first appearance in the Gran Turismo series, putting its most powerful EV side by side with some of the most respected performance cars in the game.
A Big Step for Xiaomi, a Familiar Move for Gran Turismo
For Xiaomi, this is a quiet but meaningful milestone. The brand has been pushing hard into electric vehicles, and seeing the SU7 Ultra land in Gran Turismo 7 gives it a different kind of spotlight, one that’s all about driving feel rather than marketing noise.
Gran Turismo has always been selective with the cars it adds. Each vehicle undergoes a detailed process to ensure it behaves like the real thing. That’s why the SU7 Ultra’s inclusion feels more like recognition than promotion.
Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi personally drove the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra in the real world, including runs in Beijing, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and Tsukuba Circuit.
To fine-tune the in-game version, Xiaomi’s EV dynamics team worked closely with Polyphony Digital at their studio in Fukuoka. The focus was simple: make sure the digital SU7 Ultra feels right when pushed, braked hard, or driven at the limit, just like the real car.
Why the SU7 Ultra Fits the Game
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is powered by an in-house Dual V8s + V6s Hyper Tri-Motor system, producing 1,548 horsepower. On paper, it’s quick. In reality, it’s already proven itself with a 0–100 km/h time of 1.98 seconds.

More importantly for racing fans, the production version clocked a 7:04.957 lap time at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. That run set a record for electric executive vehicles, which helps explain why Gran Turismo saw it as a serious addition rather than a novelty EV.
A Launch Event for Players
To mark the SU7 Ultra’s arrival, Polyphony Digital is hosting a two-week official lap-time challenge in Gran Turismo 7. The event takes place at the historic Monza Circuit, providing players with the opportunity to test the car’s speed and handling against the global leaderboard. It’s the kind of event Gran Turismo fans appreciate, no flashy gimmicks, just a fast car, a classic track, and lap times that speak for themselves.

What This Means Going Forward
Xiaomi’s entry into Gran Turismo 7 feels like the brand planting a flag. It’s not about selling the idea of speed, it’s about letting players feel it. For fans of the series, it’s another interesting EV to master. For Xiaomi, it’s a clear signal that its cars are ready to be judged on the same level as long-established performance names.
