The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has teamed up with GCash to roll out an updated MMDA biller page inside the GCash app. The goal is simple: make settling violations faster, cleaner, and less stressful for everyday motorists.
With the improved integration, drivers can now pay No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) violations and other MMDA fees, including anti-littering penalties, straight from their phones. No lines. No paperwork. Just a few taps.
Faster payments, lower fees
One of the biggest changes is the smoother payment flow. The new biller page shows updated violation details and charges a lower convenience fee of just ₱7 per transaction. That’s a small but welcome cut, especially for motorists who just want to clear their records quickly.
According to MMDA Chairman Romando Artes, the move is all about saving people time. “Making government payments easier and more convenient for the public has always been our priority. With this improved biller page, motorists can now settle their penalties anytime and anywhere, helping them save time and avoid unnecessary hassle,” he said.

Digital payments that make sense
For GCash, the update fits right into its push to make everyday payments more accessible. Cleo Santos, VP and head of public sector at GCash, shared that bringing MMDA payments into the app helps remove friction for drivers. “We continue to support government agencies in making public services more accessible through digital payments,” she said. “By enabling seamless and affordable settlement of MMDA violations on the GCash app, we are helping make compliance easier for motorists while advancing the government’s push for efficient, cashless transactions.”

A small change with real impact
For many motorists, paying fines is something they put off because it feels like a chore. This update doesn’t make violations disappear, but it does make dealing with them more straightforward. Open the app, pay the fee, and move on with your day.
With more services shifting to digital, this update is a clear example of how technology can simplify daily routines with minimal effort.
