DJI Avata 360 dual lens camera system
The DJI Avata 360 takes a different approach compared to typical drones. Instead of trying to perfectly frame your shot while flying, it lets you capture everything in 360° and decide the final angle afterward. You can focus more on movement and timing, then refine the composition later during editing.

8K 360° Video and Flexible Shooting Modes
The dual-lens system is what makes this drone stand out. In full 360° mode, it records 8K/60fps HDR video using 1-inch-equivalent sensors, along with 120MP photos. The larger 2.4μm pixels help capture more detail, especially in scenes with mixed lighting. There’s also a Single Lens mode for a more traditional shooting style at 4K/60fps, which is easier to work with if you don’t need full 360 editing.

Stable Transmission and Immersive FPV Flight
Flight performance leans heavily on DJI’s O4+ transmission system. The live feed stays sharp at 1080p/60fps, and the connection feels consistent even when flying at a distance. It supports up to 20 km range, though real-world use will usually be closer.

Using goggles and motion controllers changes the experience completely. It becomes more immersive, closer to FPV flying, but still manageable even if you’re new. The built-in obstacle sensing, including nightscape detection, adds a layer of safety that makes it easier to push the drone a bit further.

Smart Tools That Make Shooting Easier
The built-in features reduce the need for constant camera adjustments while flying. Spotlight Free keeps subjects locked, ActiveTrack 360° adapts to movement, and FPV mode adds a natural roll effect for more dynamic clips. The Virtual Gimbal lets you tilt, rotate, or flip shots after recording, thanks to 360° capture. Editing is also faster with GyroFrame in the DJI Fly app and support from DJI Studio.

Battery, Storage, and Practical Use
Battery life is rated at up to 23 minutes, which is reasonable for a drone handling 8K 360 recording. In actual flights, especially when flying aggressively or using FPV features, you’ll likely get a bit less.

The built-in 42GB internal storage is a practical addition. You can record around 30 minutes of 8K 360 footage without needing a memory card. File transfers are also fast, with Wi-Fi 6 allowing around 1GB in 10 seconds, which helps when reviewing clips on the go.

Another small but useful detail is the replaceable front lens element. Instead of sending the drone in for repairs, you can swap it out yourself using a replacement kit.

FPV and Cinematic Shooting in One Setup
It works both as a cinematic drone and an FPV drone, depending on how you control it. Using standard controllers like the RC 2 gives you more precise framing for cleaner shots. Switching to motion controllers and goggles makes it more immersive and opens up dynamic movements like drifting, even if you’re not experienced with FPV flying.

Price and Availability (Philippines)
The DJI Avata 360 is available in the Philippines with the following pricing:

Base Package (DJI RC 2): ₱38,290
Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2): ₱47,890
Motion Fly More Combo (Goggles N3): ₱47,890

The DJI Avata 360 shifts the focus from getting the perfect shot in the air to capturing everything and deciding later. That alone changes how you shoot, especially in fast or unpredictable situations.
