DITO launches StreamZone199
Streaming on mobile has become an integral part of everyday life for many Filipinos. Whether it’s catching up on a series during the commute, watching short videos while waiting in line, or spending weekends binge-watching at home, most users now rely heavily on mobile data for entertainment.

That’s where DITO Telecommunity’s newest prepaid offering comes in. DITO has officially launched StreamZone, a new lineup of streaming-focused mobile data offers aimed at users who spend a big chunk of their screen time watching content online. Leading the rollout is StreamZone199, a ₱199 prepaid pack that combines mobile data, streaming platform access, and a few extra digital perks in one subscription.

A Streaming Pack Built Around Daily Viewing Habits
At first glance, StreamZone199 looks more tailored for actual everyday streaming use rather than just throwing large data numbers on paper.

The promo includes:
    11GB streaming data
    11GB all-access data with rollover
Unlimited calls and texts to all networks
Free 30-day access to Prime Video, iWant, and BLAST TV

DITO also says the pack supports access to several streaming platforms, including Netflix, VivaMax, Viva One, DashFlix, and iQIYI. For users who regularly jump between apps depending on what they’re watching, the setup makes sense. The separate streaming allocation also helps avoid quickly eating through regular data, especially for users who spend hours watching videos daily.

One thing that stands out with StreamZone is how DITO is positioning the offer less like a traditional prepaid promo and more like an entertainment-focused mobile package.

Instead of simply pushing bigger GB allocations, the focus here is clearly around content access and convenience. Having Prime Video bundled into a ₱199 pack already adds decent value, especially for casual viewers who don’t want another separate subscription expense.

The rollover feature is also practical. In real-world use, not everyone burns through data consistently every week. Some days you barely stream anything, then suddenly spend an entire weekend watching episodes back-to-back. Data rollover helps balance that out a bit better.

DITO says the StreamZone lineup was built around how “Ditozens” consume content today, from quick viewing sessions during breaks to long binge nights at home.

Honestly, that direction makes sense considering how mobile-first entertainment has become locally. A lot of users now watch entire movies or series directly on their phones, often while using earbuds or portable speakers on the go.

Network reliability still plays a huge role here though. Streaming quality can easily become frustrating when connections start buffering midway through episodes. DITO highlighted its continuing network improvements alongside recognitions from Ookla and Opensignal as part of the launch.

In day-to-day use, that consistency matters more than flashy promo names. Stable playback and decent speeds usually determine whether users stay subscribed to a data offer long term.
