TECNO Mobile Philippines has officially launched the new TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G, bringing a massive 8,000mAh battery inside a surprisingly slim 7.42mm body.
Despite the large battery, the phone weighs only 195g, making it more comfortable for gaming, streaming, and daily commuting compared to most big-battery devices.
The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor and features a 6.78-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. TECNO also included Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Battery life is one of the phone’s main highlights. TECNO says the device can last up to three days on a single charge, while 45W fast charging can recharge the battery to 50% in around 36 minutes.
For gaming, the phone supports Bypass Charging 2.0 to help reduce heat during long sessions. It also supports 10W reverse wired charging.
TECNO is also focusing heavily on connectivity with the POVA Curve 2 5G. The device uses the brand’s G1 signal enhancement chipset and SE1 WiFi chipset alongside its UPS 3.0 optimization technology. The phone now supports 20 5G bands for wider network compatibility and improved signal performance in difficult areas like elevators, parking buildings, and train stations.
For cameras, the device features a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP macro sensor, while the front gets a 13MP selfie camera. Both cameras support up to 4K video recording.
Other features include Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, IP64 dust and splash resistance, an in-display fingerprint scanner, SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification, and HiOS 16 based on Android 16.

The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G is priced at ₱16,999 for the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. TECNO is also bundling every purchase with a TECNO Gift Box and a Globe customized 5G SIM card with UNLI5G access and free data for one year. It is now available in stores nationwide, while the online first sale happens on May 26 through TikTok Shop.
