Unboxing: What’s inside the box?
Realme 2 comes in a simple dual-tone box (white and red colors), at the front is just the number 2, and realme branding below, and at the back of the box are some important details about the device.

Inside the box are the Realme 2 device, OPPO wall charger, silicone case, SIM tray ejector pin, micro USB cable, some documentation, and warranty card, no earphones are included we wonder why.

realme 2 Design
The Realme 2 looks similar to OPPO F9 in terms of design. The back of the Realme 2 features a diamond glossy finish with 12 layers of nanoscale composite material. There's a dual rear camera with LED flash, a fingerprint scanner at the center, and the realme branding down below.

At the front is the 6.2-inch FullView 2.5D Curved Glass with a 19:9 aspect ratio display and has 88.8% screen-to-body ratio offering a larger view of the screen. Compared to OPPO F9 this device has a full notch that housed the 8-megapixel selfie camera, and earpiece. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and also comes with a pre-installed screen protector.

The button for the power is located on the right side while the volume rocker and SIM slot are on the left side of the device. Going to the bottom are the micro USB port, together with the microphone, speaker grill, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Overall the Realme 2 look really nice with a great build, it feels great on the hand, and the diamond glossy finish shimmer when struck by light.

Cameras
Equipped with a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual rear camera, with PDAF phase focusing technology for faster focusing of the subject. For taking selfies, it has 8-megapixel camera sensors.

It features smart group photography recognition that distinguishes between men and women, there is a total of 256 identification points and personalized beautification features.

The AI algorithm will automatically identify different gender in the same photo to apply the personalized beautification effect.
The rear camera support Time-lapse, Video (720p/1080p), Photo, Portrait, Sticker, and Panorama mode, while the selfie camera lacks Portrait mode.

The front camera of the Realme 2 can capture 128 face identification points, which is used to fast unlocking of the device via the face-unlock feature.

realme 2 looks promising, it has the right stuff for a midrange device with its diamond-cut design, nice 6.2-inch FullView display, dual cameras, AI selfie camera, good processing power, and huge battery capacity. Let's hope that it will have a competitive pricing once they officially released it here in the Philippines.
