Design
The OPPO Reno 10X Zoom is one of the best-looking smartphones that came out this year. It has a frosted-glass design that makes is look and feel premium. I got the Jet Black color variant but I think the ocean green color looks also amazing.

It has a seamless body that is smooth to touch, buy it tends to get slippery when holding so good thing OPPO includes a nice looking matte type protective case in the package.

One of the things I like about the Reno 10X Zoom is triple camera setup, it's flushed to the body so there's no ugly camera bump, just smooth back with a small dot "O-Dot" to protect the camera when the device is placed flat on its back. It has this vertical strip with “Designed by Oppo” and “Oppo” logo is placed. Its also visible even when the protective case is installed.

At the front there's a 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display, OPPO called it Panoramic Screen, its almost bezel-less with only 3.5mm minimal chin at the bottom. With its screen-to-body ratio of 93.1%, it makes this phone huge with its 9.4mm thickness, and weigh 210g.

My Another favorite feature of the Reno 10X Zoom is the selfie camera, its cleverly hidden within the what OPPO called "Shark Fin" is where the 16-megapixel front camera, Soft Light, receiver and rear flash is cleverly placed. It can elevate in just 0.8s when activating using the camera app, and its also used to unlock the phone using the face recognition feature.

According to OPPO the pivot rising structure has been tested rigorously and can withstand over 200,000 uses in terms of usage it will be able to hold up for over 5 years.
Display
Like I mentioned earlier the Reno 10X Zoom is packed with this huge 6.6-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display protected by Gorilla Glass 6, it does come pre-installed with a screen protector for another layer of protection, but if you don't want it, you can easily peel it.

The display on this device is amazing, I got an immersive experience when playing games or watching videos. But the Galaxy S10+ display has more dynamic and vibrant as compared to the Reno 10X Zoom.
Brightness is quite good, and it has a high brightness level great when using it outdoors during the daytime. It also sports an in-display fingerprint sensor and its just as fast as the one in the Galaxy S10+ and Vivo V15 and it works every time, registering the fingerprints is also easy simply follow the provided step by step instruction.
Performance
The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor paired with Adreno 640 GPU and comes with huge 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it also packs 4065mAh Battery with super VOOC flash charger 3.0.

This phone has more processing power compared to an entry-level laptop. The Reno 10X Zoom is a great gaming mobile device with its nice huge AMOLED display and the powerful processor you can't deny that this device can be an awesome mobile gaming phone and can be compared to other phones such as OnePlus 7 Pro and Black Shark 2 and ASUS ROG 2 phone.
The Reno 10X Zoom scored 356,681 on AnTuTu on Geekbench it got a score of 3,254 Single core and 11,118 Multi-core tests.
The real test on the performance of Reno 10X Zoom is installing and playing games. So I installed some popular and some personal favorite games on it, and since it has 256GB internal storage, there is plenty of room to download almost anything I want on this device.

Games I tested on the Reno 10X Zoom are; Word War II Heroes, PUBG Mobile, Tekken, Shadow Fight III, Mortal Kombat, Modern Combat 5, Shadow of Kurgansk, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. On PUBG Mobile I set all the settings into high and Reno 10X Zoom handle it well it was 27 FPS with 95 percent stability.
The gaming experience on the Reno 10X Zoom is awesome, I got hours of playtime and games run well without a hitch and since it has a huge screen I got a more immersive experience. Most of the games require internet connection, the Reno 10X Zoom did not disappoint me with its 4G LTE connection. It can also auto-switch from WiFi to 4G connection, so playing games while on the go is also great, especially if you are stuck on traffic.
OPPO has this GameSpace, when activated it kills all background apps to make room for the current games and keep it running smoothly. The Game Assistant lets you easily take a screenshot of your current games or record a video, too bad it does not support audio on the recording. Also, you can check and reply to messages quickly without leaving your game.
ColorOS 6
Out of the box, the Reno 10X Zoom runs on ColorOS 6 based on Android 9 Pie. Compared to its predecessor, it now has more simplistic backgrounds with a clean and practical visual experience.

The app Icon designs now have bright colors and circular design. I like the new look of Color OS 6, its now more pleasing to the eye, the quick access menu is easy to read, and the settings offer a lot of customization on how I want the device to have.
One of the cool features is now I can simply enlarge photos and text with a simple use of double-tap. Transferring my data from my old phone is also easy with the use of Clone Phone app, I was able to transfer SMS, Phone history, photos, and apps from my old phone to the new Reno 10X Zoom.

It does come with pre-installed apps but good thing it can be uninstalled, there is also OPPO App Store, where you can easily download apps mostly similar to Google Play Store.

In terms of security, this device does not come short, it supports the usual PIN, password, Face unlock and the in-display fingerprint. It also features App lock, and Private Safe if you want to encrypt your personal apps and keep your data private.
Cameras
One of the main selling points of the OPPO Reno 10X Zoom is the cameras, its one of many reasons why fans buy OPPO phones. The Reno 10X Zoom sports a triple camera at back with 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 main camera paired with a 13-megapixel periscope telephoto lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. It features a 10x hybrid zoom and 60x digital zoom - the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. The Huawei P30 Pro also uses a similar setup offers 10X hybrid but only 50X digital zoom.

Photos are taken using the 48MP camera really stand out with a lot of colors and nice sharpness. It does have saturated colors but photos are almost noise-free. The main camera sensor default is 12MP but you can easily switch to 48MP with 4:3 aspect ratio with this mode you cannot use the zoom features.

Using the wide-angle is good enough for sharing on social media, but there's a lot of noise in the pictures when I transferred it on my PC to take a closer look and low performance could be better.

The main star of the camera function in the 10X zoom and the 60X digital zoom capability, I tested this and was impressed on the phones ability to capture details even on 60X zoom. I take a pause between zoom to allow that sensor to lock on the subject from 2X to 6X and then to 10X zoom.

Sample of Selfies Photos

The Reno 10x Zoom is equipped with ball-bearing dual OIS. The prism image stabilizer uses the movement of the prism in the telephoto lens to compensate for the camera shakes through prism movement. But zooming beyond 10X takes a lot of steady hands, so it's a good idea to use a tripod if you want to test this feature.

In terms of the quality of the zoomed pictures, it has good details on it enough to be readable, and its comparable to Huawei P30 Pro. The zoom features are best to use when taking landscape shots to get more details with good dynamic range. For indoors its a great tool to zoom in if you want to see more than what the normal eye can see and its fun to zoom on things.

Its capable of shooting 4K at 60 fps and equipped with three microphones to achieve 3D stereo sound recordings, also 10x hybrid zoom can also record 4K videos.

For taking selfies, the Reno 10X Zoom sports a 16-megapixel, f/2.0 motorized pop-up selfie camera placed on the shark fin that pop-up as fast as 0.8s when need to use it. Its packed with the usual beauty mode with a lot of filters to choose if you want to highlight your facial features.

Battery
The Reno 10X Zoom is pack with 4065mAh Battery which is a bit odd in terms of capacity, it should have at least 4500mAh battery since it comes with a huge screen and powerful processor but surprisingly the battery performance is quite good.

It comes with 20W VOOC charger, that means charging the battery from 0-100 takes about less than 2 hours which is not bad at all. In one full charge I was able to get a whole day of use of the Reno 10X Zoom, but when playing online games with the brightness set to high I get less than a day of usage, good thing it charges fast, I just need to bring a good fast charging power bank and I'm back to enjoying playing games.

It does not support wireless charging, which is a downside, OPPO should have included this feature since it's now becoming a standard.

Pros:
Premium design
No camera bump
Triple Camera with 10X zoom and 60x digital zoom.
Pop-up shark-fin selfie camera
Snapdragon 855 CPU
Huge 256GB Storage
In-display fingerprint scanner

Cons:
Not slim profile
No wireless charging
Only 4065mAh Battery
