Design
Marshall made sure the Major IV looked and felt similar to previous models by making a few changes to the design. Marshall says the headphones' softer ear pads make them more comfortable for long listening sessions. In the same way, its classic style adds to its elegant design. Wearing something with the white Marshall logo conveys a message about your taste in music.

The headphones' synthetic leather cover has a simple black color scheme and a luxury feel. The dial is actually a set of brass metal buttons.

The earcups and band are separated by an opening that reveals the wires; the headphones can be folded without the wires getting tangled; and, at 165 grams, they weigh barely anything so it's easy to carry around on in a bag.

When compared to the micro-USB port used by the Marshall III, the Type-C charging port and wireless charging capability represent a significant upgrade.

If you want to listen to your music without worrying about batteries dying, you can take advantage of the audio jack. The 3.5 mm jack on the Major IV makes it possible for a friend to listen to your music with you.

You can wear the headphones with pride, knowing that they have Marshall's unique blend of traditional and modern design, and others will be jealous of your headphones.

Connectivity and Features
The Major IV's volume, playback, pause, and skip functions, as well as its on/off switch, are all accessible via a single multi-directional control knob. Simply click the appropriate buttons to accept or decline a call, or to put an end to the call altogether.

You can move freely around the room while listening to your music thanks to the Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connection and the 10-meter wireless range. You can start listening to music as soon as you pair; after pressing and holding the knob control, a dot LED light will flash; then, in your phone's Bluetooth settings, simply look for Marshall Major IV and choose it to complete the pairing process.

You can listen to music while moving around the room, as the wireless connection is reliable up to a distance of 10 meters. While using the 3.5mm audio wire, you and your buddy Major III can listen to your music collection simultaneously.

Sound Quality
Marshall is known for making excellent audio equipment, and the new Major IV is a great way to experience that distinctive rich, full sound. The headphone's custom-tuned dynamic drivers can reproduce a wide frequency range, from deep bass to solid highs, so you can listen to any genre with pleasure.

The volume can be adjusted with a simple turn of the knob, and the knob's multi-directional controls make it simple to navigate your music library. We wish it had active noise cancellation (ANC), but at least the enclosed ear cups keep outside noise to a minimum.

In general, it has superb sound quality, reproducing music faithfully with Marshall's signature sound, providing an exciting bass experience, and being equally at home with jazz and other calming music.

Battery
The Marshall Major IV uses a type-C port, which is much faster compared to the micro-USB port used by the Major III in terms of charging, and it also supports wireless charging, which is new for the series.

Compared to the Major III, which only lasted 30 hours on a single charge, the Major IV's battery life is longer. That means that the headphones may go without being used for a longer period of time before needing to be charged again.

While the Type-C charging port is fast and convenient, it does not provide any means of viewing the battery level of the headphones, instead, you can check the battery capacity to the connected smartphone. The headphones may be charged wirelessly by placing the bottom of the ear cups to any Qi-compatible wireless pad.

PROS
Nice combination of classic-modern design
Solid Marshall signature audio
Easy to use on-ear control knob
Wireless and Wired options
Comfortable earcups

CONS
No carrying case included
Connecting the cable doesn't automatically power down the headphones

Verdict
The Marshall Major IV is a featured pack of headphones and offers a lot of features such as the new ergonomic design, foldable design, impressive 80+ hours of playtime, wireless charging, multi-directional control knob, sharable music via 3.5 wire connection, wireless music, and it delivers the signature Marshall sound that everyone loves.

If you are looking for all-around wireless headphones, you might consider the Marshall Major IV, priced at ₱8,590, and it's now available at Digital Walker and Beyond the Box stores offline and online.
